Sophie Cook (born 12 September 1994) is an English international athlete. She has represented England at the Commonwealth Games. Biography Cook won the British indoor high jump title at the 2020 British Indoor Athletics Championships and has won three silver medals at the British Athletics Championships in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and a bronze medal at the 2021 British Athletics Championships. She recorded a personal best of 4.45 metres at the 2022 Diamond League in Birmingham. In 2022, she was selected for the women's pole vault event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Dudley is a large market town and administrative centre in the county of West Midlands, England, southeast of Wolverhampton and northwest of Birmingham. The British Athletics Championships is the premier national championship in track and field held in the United Kingdom, and are organised by British Athletics. The 2021 British Athletics Championships was the national championships in outdoor track and field for athletes in the United Kingdom, which also served as the main qualifying event for athletics competitors for the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics. Diamond League
The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletic competitions comprising fourteen of the best invitational athletics meetings. The series sits in the top tier of the World Athletics (formerly known as the IAAF) one-day meeting competitions. The inaugural season was in 2010. It was designed to replace the IAAF Golden League, which had been held annually since 1998. The full sponsorship name is the Wanda Diamond League, the result of an agreement with Wanda Group that was announced in December 2019. The 2022 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Birmingham 2022, was an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth of Nations that took place in Birmingham, England between 28 July and 8 August 2022. 2023 European Athletics Team Championships
The 2023 European Athletics Team Championships (ETC) in athletics will be held in Stadion Śląski in June 2023. The event was first planned to be held in Madrid, but after European Athletics and European Olympic Committee reached to an agreement, the event was added to the 2023 European Games programme and moved to Poland. Madrid will host the 2025 ETC.
