Slattery Report
The Slattery Report, officially titled ''The Problem of Alaskan Development'', was produced by the United States Department of the Interior under Franklin D. Roosevelt, President Franklin D. Roosevelt's United States Secretary of the Interior, secretary Harold L. Ickes in 1939–40. It was named after Undersecretary of the Interior Harry A. Slattery. The report, which dealt with Alaska Territory, Alaskan development through immigration, included a proposal to move European refugees, especially Expulsions and exoduses of Jews, Jews from Nazi Germany and History of Austria#Austrofascism, Austria, to four locations in Alaska, including Baranof Island and the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. Paul Tillich
Paul Johannes Tillich (August 20, 1886 – October 22, 1965) was a German-American Christian existentialist philosopher, religious socialist, and Lutheran Protestant theologian who is widely regarded as one of the most influential theologians of the twentieth century.
