Vidhan Sabha
The State Legislative Assembly, or Vidhan Sabha, or also Saasana Sabha, is a legislative body in the states and union territories of India. In the 28 states and 3 union territories with a unicameral state legislature, it is the sole legislative body and in 6 states it is the lower house of their bicameral state legislatures with the upper house being State Legislative Council. 5 union territories are governed directly by the Union Government of India and have no legislative body. Each Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is directly elected to serve 5-year terms by single-member constituencies. Ram Chandra Ram (died 2 March 2009, Ranchi) was an Indian politician, affiliated to the Communist Party of India (CPI). History Ram made his electoral debut in the Simaria Legislative Assembly constituency in the 1990 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. He finished in second place with 18,832 votes (30.04% of the vote). In the 1995 Bihar Legislative Assembly election, Ram finished in second place in Simaria with 19,271 votes (24.36%). Ram contested the 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. He finished in third place in Simaria with 11,532 votes (24.11%). Ganesh Ganjhu was the member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from Simaria. In the 2014 general election, he was elected as MLA of Simaria as Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) candidate. Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM (P)) ( 'Jharkhand Development Front (Democratic)') was a state political party in the Indian state of Jharkhand which was founded by former Union Minister and First Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi.
