Ganesh Ganjhu
Ganesh Ganjhu was the member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from Simaria. In the 2014 general election, he was elected as MLA of Simaria as Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) candidate. In February 2015, he switched sides and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party with other five MLA's including Randhir Kumar Singh, Amar Kumar Bauri, Janki Prasad Yadav, Alok Kumar Chourasia and Navin Jaiswal from JVM(P). Early life and family Ganesh Ganjhu was born in Lutto village of Chatra district. He is son of Panchu Ganjhu. Chatra District
Chatra district is one of the twenty-four districts of Jharkhand state, India. The district was formed after separation from Hazaribagh district in 1991. Chatra is the administrative headquarters of this district. The district covers an area of 3718 km2. A Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district (constituency) to the legislature of State government in the Indian system of government. The Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) is a splinter group of the Maoist Communist Centre of India. TPC has declared Communist Party of India (Maoist) as its main enemy not police machinery. The area of influence of TPC are in Chatra, Palamu and Latehar district of Jharkhand. TPC is rival of other Maoist outfits. Background The Tritiya Prastuti Committee(TPC) was formed in 2002 when several cadres broke away from Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) due to its perceived domination of Yadav caste in decision making and led to the formation of the TPC by non-Yadavs chiefly the Mahtos, Ganjhus, Bhogta, Oraon and Kharwars among others. Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM (P)) ( 'Jharkhand Development Front (Democratic)') was a state political party in the Indian state of Jharkhand which was founded by former Union Minister and First Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi. 2014 Indian General Election
General elections were held in India in nine phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014 to elect the members of the 16th Lok Sabha. With 834 million registered voters, they were the largest-ever elections in the world until being surpassed by the 2019 Indian general election, 2019 elections. Simaria is a community development block that forms an administrative division in the Simaria subdivision of the Chatra district, Jharkhand state, India. Overview Chatra district forms a part of the Upper Hazaribagh Plateau, Lower Hazaribagh Plateau and northern scarp. Located at an elevation of about , the general slope of the district is from north to south. Red laterite acidic soil predominates in an area that is primarily dependent upon rain-fed agriculture. Around 60% of the district is covered with forests. The district has a population density of 275 persons per km2. Around two-thirds of the families in the district live below poverty line.
