Chatra Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 14 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Jharkhand state in eastern India. It covers the entire Chatra and Latehar districts and part of Palamu district Vidhan Sabha segments Presently, Chatra Lok Sabha smallestconstituency in jharkhandcomprises the following five Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments: Until 1977, Chatra was one of the vast Parliamentary constituencies with parts of Gaya, Hazaribag and Palamu districts. The districts of Chatra and Latehar came into being much later. Sans Panki, all the assembly segments namely Chatra, Simaria, Latehar and Manika are reserved seats, whereas Chatra continues to be an unreserved Parliamentary constituency. Rashtriya Janata Dal
The Rashtriya Janata Dal ( RJD; translation: ''National People's Party'') is an Indian political party, based in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Kerala. The party was founded in 1997 by Lalu Prasad Yadav. The party's support base has traditionally been Other Backward Classes, Dalits and Muslims and it is considered a political champion of the lower castes. Kushwaha
Kushwaha (sometimes, Kushvaha) is a community of the Indo-Gangetic Plain which has traditionally been involved in agriculture (including beekeeping). The term has been used to represent different subcastes, being those of the Kachhis, Koeris and Muraos. Under the Indian governments system of positive discrimination, the Kushwahas are classified as a "Backward" or "Other Backward class". Nagmani Kushwaha (born 15 Jan 1953) is an Indian politician from Bihar and Jharkhand. He is the son of another Bihar politician Jagdeo Prasad, in whose party Shoshit Samaj Dal, Nagmani started his career. He has served as an MLA for Kurtha as well as an MP for Chatra. Nagmani is known for the frequency with which he changes parties - As of 2014, he had changed political affiliations 11 times. ''People's Party'') was a political party that was founded as an amalgam of Indian political parties opposed to the Emergency that was imposed between 1975 and 1977 by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of the Indian National Congress. Sukhdeo Prasad Verma (10 April 1916 – 5 February 1991) was an Indian politician. He was elected to the lower House of the Indian Parliament, the Lok Sabha, from Nawada, Bihar and Chatra, Bihar. Life Verma was born on 10 April 1916 in Sugaon, a locality within Makhdumpur block of the Jahanabad district of Bihar to Gopal Prasad Verma. He was a member of the Koeri community. In 1935, he developed a keen interest in the Indian independence movement and became an active member of the Indian National Congress. Soon, he left his teaching position and attended the famous Ramgarh Session of Indian National Congress in 1940.
