Signe Relander
Signe Relander ( Österman; 19 August 1886 — 31 May 1962) was the wife of Finland's second president, Lauri Kristian Relander, serving as the First Lady of Finland from 1925 until 1931. The couple met while she was still at secondary school and he at university, and married in 1906; they lived in Tikkurila (then part of the Rural District of Helsinki, now Vantaa Vantaa (; sv, Vanda, ) is a city and Municipalities of Finland, municipality in Finland. Kultaranta
Kultaranta ( sv, Gullranda; ) is the summer residence of the president of Finland. It is in the district of Kultaranta on the island of Luonnonmaa, in Naantali. The granite manor house is surrounded by of park, belonging to the property. The President of the Republic's summer residence, Kultaranta, stands in 54-hectare grounds in Naantali on the southwest coast. As well as the granite-built house, the complex includes numerous outbuildings and greenhouses, and a park. Kultaranta's original owner was the businessman Alfred Kordelin, who had a manor house built for himself in 1914. It was designed by the architect Lars Sonck. When Kordelin died in 1917 the manor's ownership shifted to the University of Turku and, in 1922, the Finnish Parliament voted to acquire it for use as the president's summer residence. Lauri Kristian Relander (, ; 31 May 1883 – 9 February 1942) was the second president of Finland (1925–1931). A prominent member of the Centre Party (Finland), Agrarian League, he served as a member of Parliament of Finland, Parliament, and as Speakers of the Parliament of Finland, Speaker, before his election as President. Relander is widely regarded as the most unknown of Finland's presidents, as he has been considered a colorless and weak president who, during a Domestic policy, domestic politically broken period, allowed himself to be guided without a clear line of his own. Tikkurila (; sv, Dickursby) is a district and major region of the municipality of Vantaa, Finland. Located in the eastern half of the Helsinki conurbation, some north of the capital's downtown district, it is the administrative and commercial hub of Vantaa, although Myyrmäki is a rival commercial hub within the municipality.
