Shri Ganganagar–Sadulpur Line
The Shri Ganganagar–Sadulpur line or Sri Ganganagar–Hanumangarh–Sadulpur line is a railway route on the North Western Railway zone of Indian Railways. This route plays an important role in rail transportation of Bikaner division of Rajasthan state and some portion of Sirsa district of Haryana. The corridor passes through the Desert Area of Rajasthan and some portion of Haryana with a stretch of 244 km with one reversal at which connects Jodhpur–Bathinda line. Bikaner Railway Division
Bikaner railway division is one of the four railway divisions under North Western Railway zone of Indian Railways. This railway division was formed on 5 November 1951 and its headquarter is located at Bikaner in the state of Rajasthan of India. Jaipur railway division, Ajmer railway division and Jodhpur railway division are the other three railway divisions under NWR Zone headquartered at Jaipur. This division is one of the key enabler of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project by virtue of running parts of the railways 1,500 km long network of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. Bikaner State was a princely state in the Rajputana from 1465 to 1947. The founder of the state, Rao Bika, was the eldest son of Rao Jodha, ruler of Jodhpur. The Bikaner State Railway (BkSR) was formed in 1924 and took over responsibility for working the Bikaner section of the Jodhpur–Bikaner Railway. History Earlier named the Jodhpur Railway the first section opened as a metre gauge line in 1882, later becoming the Jodhpur–Bikaner Railway (JBR) in 1889.
