Sheohar (pronounced ''Shivahar'') is an administrative district in the Mithila (region), Mithila region of Bihar in India. The district headquarters are located at Sheohar, and the district is a part of Tirhut Division. This district was carved out of Sitamarhi district in 1994 due to the extreme efforts of Raghunath Jha, former Union Minister. Census Of India
The decennial Census of India has been conducted 16 times, as of 2021. While it has been undertaken every 10 years, beginning in 1872 under British Viceroy Lord Mayo, the first complete census was taken in 1881. Sheikhpura District
Sheikhpura district is one of the thirty-eight districts of the Indian state of Bihar. Sheikhpura is the administrative headquarter of this district. Sheikhpura district is a part of the Munger division. Sheikhpura was split from the Munger district into a separate district with headquarters in Sheikhpura on 31 July 1994 by Rajo Singh. Burhi Gandak River
The Burhi Gandak River is a tributary of the Ganges. It is known as Narayani in its upper reaches. The Burhi (“Old”) Gandak flows parallel to and east of the Gandak River in an old channel.
