Shaun Murphy (footballer)
Shaun Peter Murphy (born 5 November 1970) is an Australian former soccer player. His club career included stints with Notts County (1992–1997), West Bromwich Albion (1997–1999), Sheffield United (1999–2003) and Crystal Palace (2001–02) in England, before returning to Australia for one season to captain Perth Glory (2003–04). He was a member of the Australian national team and scored a winner against Brazil for Australia in the 2001 Confederations Cup third place play-off match. Sydney ( ) is the capital city of the state of New South Wales, and the most populous city in both Australia and Oceania. 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup
The 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup was the fifth FIFA Confederations Cup and the third to be organised by FIFA. It was also the first in which the original hosts, Saudi Arabia, did not participate (they were the nation who founded the tournament, previously known as the King Fahd Cup). The tournament was played from 30 May to 10 June 2001, and co-hosted by South Korea and Japan, who were also hosts for the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals. It was won by France, beating hosts Japan 1–0, with a goal from Patrick Vieira. By winning the tournament, France became the second team to simultaneously be World Cup champions, continental champions and Confederations Cup winners, after Brazil in 1997. The eight teams were split into two groups of four, in which each team plays each of the others once, with the top two in each group advancing to the semi-finals. Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium
The Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium, nicknamed Big Crown Stadium, is a football stadium in Ulsan in South Korea. It is home to the Ulsan Hyundai FC. The stadium was built from 18 December 1998 to 28 April 2001 and its total cost was 151.4 billion won (US$116.5 million). Located in a major industrial city, the Ulsan Munsu football Stadium contains both mechanical and environment-friendly imagery. The overall shape of the stadium is in the shape of skull crown that symbolizes Silla and Bangudae Petroglyphs. The stadium has three floors and 2 basement floors and a seating capacity of 44,102. There is also an auxiliary stadium with 2,590 seats. Next to the stadium is Munsu Park with a lake, a fountain and bicycle courses, lakeside square. It replaced Ulsan Complex Stadium. Suwon
Suwon (, ) is the capital and largest city of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea's most populous province which surrounds Seoul, the national capital. Suwon lies about south of Seoul. It is traditionally known as "The City of Filial Piety". With a population close to 1.3 million, it is larger than Ulsan Metropolitan City, Ulsan, although it is not governed as a metropolitan city. 2000 OFC Nations Cup
The 2000 OFC Nations Cup was held in Papeete, Tahiti. The six participating teams were Australia and New Zealand who qualified as of right, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu who qualified from the Melanesia Cup, the Cook Islands and Tahiti who qualified from the Polynesia Cup. Australia beat New Zealand 2–0 in the final. The Solomon Islands beat Vanuatu 2–1 for third place.
