It is located in Shah Faisal town of Korangi district. The area is named after the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia. Drigh Colony was the previous name of this area. Korangi District
Korangi District ( ur, ) is one of the seven administrative districts of Karachi last modified in 2013, part of the Karachi Division in Sindh, Pakistan. Political career He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan from Constituency NA-239 (Korangi Karachi-I) as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in 2018 Pakistani general election. Shah Faisal Town
Shah Faisal Town ( sd, شاہ فیصل ٽائون ur, ), lies in the eastern part of the city that took its name from Shah Faisal Colony. History Shah Faisal Town was formed in 2001 as part of The Local Government Ordinance 2001, and was subdivided into 11 union councils. The town system was disbanded in 2011, and Shah Faisal Town was re-organized as part of Karachi East District, before being amalgamated into the new Korangi District. The federal government introduced local government reforms in the year 2000, which eliminated the previous "third tier of government" (administrative divisions) and replaced it with the fourth tier (districts).
