Settle The Sky
Settle The Sky is an American metalcore band. The band has had members that have gone on to play with Blessthefall, Before Their Eyes, Grubby Paws, Affairs, Glasslands, Convictions, and Glaslungs. Background Settle the Sky formed in Ohio in 2005. In 2007, the band recorded with Joey Sturgis and released their EP, ''Now That We're Waiting'' in 2008 on StandBy Records. The band toured with Vanna in 2008, and The Crimson Armada as well as I Am Abomination in 2009. The band disbanded in 2010, and members went on to join Before Their Eyes, Convictions, Glasslands, Affairs, Glaslungs & Legacy. The band was openly Christian, but in more recent days, certain members have lost their faith. The band reunited in 2016 & played a show in Ohio on February 17, 2017. The band has announced that after much discussion, they will be putting the band to rest after all this time, and writing under a new name TBA. Fremont, Ohio
Fremont is a city in and the county seat of Sandusky County, Ohio, United States, located along the banks of the Sandusky River. It is about 35 miles from Toledo and 25 miles from Sandusky. The Crimson Armada
The Crimson Armada was an American metalcore band formed in Westerville, Ohio in 2007 by Kyle Barrington and David Puckett. Following a one-year hiatus in 2008, the band returned to increased popularity, releasing its first EP, ''Behold the Architect''. Following the release of ''Behold the Architect'', the Crimson Armada signed a record deal with Metal Blade Records. In July 2009, the band released its debut album, ''Guardians''. Following the album's release, the band went on several tours with acts such as the Chariot, and MyChildren MyBride. In mid-2010 the group headed out on the Scream the Prayer Tour. Vanna (band)
Vanna was an American hardcore punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, that was formed in 2004. On December 15, 2017, the band played their final show at the Worcester Palladium. The band's sound has been described as furious and cathartic, changing over time from screamo to metalcore to post-hardcore, with some songs showing emo or melodic metalcore elements. History Early years (2004–2005) The band formed in December 2004 by guitarists Nicholas Lambert and Evan Pharmakis. The duo recorded their first demo in Lambert's dorm room at MassArt, using the program Reason for drums. Joey Sturgis (born January 3, 1985) is an American record producer and owner of The Foundation Recording Studio in Connersville, Indiana. Sturgis started recording in 2004 including producing the Asking Alexandria single "The Final Episode" which has gone on to earn an RIAA certified Gold Record. He also received RIAA-certified Gold Records for Asking Alexandria's "Not the American Average", "Moving On" and Of Mice & Men's "Second and Sebring". He has recorded over 100 albums in his career, and was known for doing a majority of the workload by himself in his early years, including engineering, mixing, mastering, and production. Sturgis is also the founder and president of Joey Sturgis Tones, which are his own line of audio recording plugins. From the Shallows was a deathcore band from Toledo, Ohio. The band formed in 2005, but over the years, has gone a hiatus. The band has had many members, that included a former member of The Black Dahlia Murder. The band has gotten good reviews from sites such as AllMusic and MetalSucks. The band's debut (and so far only) release, ''Beyond the Unknown'' was produced by Joey Sturgis ( The Devil Wears Prada, Gwen Stacy).
