Scott Bailey (curler)
Scott Bailey (born March 12, 1970) is a Canadian curler. He is best known however for being the long-time lead for Wayne Middaugh. It was with Middaugh that Bailey won the 1998 Ford World Curling Championships. Bailey was a member of the Middaugh rink from 1994 to 2010, when Middaugh left the Russ Howard rink. During this period, the Middaugh rink won three provincial championships (1998, 2001 and 2005), in addition to winning the 1998 Labatt Brier and 1998 World Championships. Bailey played for the John Epping rink from 2010 to 2014. Brampton ( or ) is a city in the Canadian Provinces and territories of Canada, province of Ontario. Russ Howard
Russell W. "Russ" Howard, CM, ONL (born February 19, 1956 in Midland, Ontario) is a Canadian curler and Olympic champion, based in Regina, Saskatchewan, but originally from Midland, Ontario. He lived in Moncton, New Brunswick from 2000 to 2019. Known for his gravelly voice, Howard has been to the Brier 14 times (8 as Ontario, 6 as New Brunswick), winning the title twice (both as Ontario). He is also a two-time world champion, winning in 1987 and 1993. He has also won three TSN Skins Games in 1991, 1992, and 1993, and participated in two Canadian Mixed Curling Championships in 2000 and 2001. He won gold at the 2006 Winter Olympics and two Canadian Senior Curling Championships in 2008 and 2009 finishing with a silver medal both of those years. 2017 Ontario Tankard
The 2017 Recharge With Milk Men's Tankard, better known as the Ontario Tankard was the 2017 edition of the Ontario men's provincial curling championship to determine who will represent the province of Ontario at the 2017 Tim Hortons Brier, the national curling championship of Canada. In 2017, the Tankard was contesteded in conjunction with the 2017 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, at the Cobourg Community Centre in Cobourg, Ontario, January 29-February 5, 2017. Ten teams played a round robin competition, followed by a page playoff to determine the tournament champion. A 54 year old Glenn Howard led his team to win his 17th career provincial championship, qualifying himself for a record 17th Brier. 2016 Ontario Tankard
The 2016 Ontario Tankard, the Southern Ontario men's provincial curling championship, was held from February 1 to 7 at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford, Ontario. The winning Glenn Howard rink represented Ontario at the 2016 Tim Hortons Brier in Ottawa. The Howard rink from Toronto defeated the John Epping rink (also from Toronto) in the final. It is Howard's 16th provincial championship title (ninth as skip). Teams 1Spencer was added to the team, replacing Richard Hart, who was bumped up to third, as Howard's regular third, Wayne Middaugh suffered an injury in a skiing accident and will have to miss out the remainder of the season. 2 Scott Bailey, the regular skip of this team was not able to play due work commitments; Fanset skipped the team in his place. John Epping
John Allan Epping (born March 20, 1983) is a Canadian curler from Toronto, Ontario. He currently skips his own team out of the Leaside Curling Club in East York, Toronto. Career Born in Peterborough, Ontario, Epping was a top junior curler, having won the Ontario Junior championship in 2004. At the 2004 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, his team finished with an 8-4 record, just out of the playoffs. He won the 2006 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship with Julie Reddick, Scott Foster and Leigh Armstrong. He won the 2007 provincial mixed as well, but could not defend his national title. After Juniors, Epping played third for Nick Rizzo until switching positions with Rizzo in 2006, and thus skipping the team. However, in 2007 he was picked up to play third for Olympic silver medallist Mike Harris. He'd only play one season for Harris before joining Wayne Middaugh's rink at second in 2008.
