Saša Gedeon (born 29 August 1970) is a Czech film director, screenwriter, and actor. He graduated from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 1995.Buchar, Robert. Film And TV School Of The Academy Of Performing Arts In Prague
The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague () or FAMU is a film school in Prague, Czech Republic, founded in 1946 as one of three branches of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. It is the fifth oldest film school in the world. The teaching language on most courses at FAMU is Czech, but FAMU also runs certain courses in English. The school has repeatedly been included on lists of the best film schools in the world by ''The Hollywood Reporter''. In the 1960s and 1970s, several young directors from Yugoslavia were FAMU students ( Rajko Grlić, Srđan Karanović, Emir Kusturica, Goran Marković, Goran Paskaljević and Lordan Zafranović). Findling Award
The Findling Award or short Findling () was a German film award donated by the umbrella organization of cultural cinemas and film clubs Verband für Filmkommunikation. It was founded in 1982 in GDR and was awarded on several film festivals. Far more than hundred filmmakers received this award. The prize itself is a stone on a pedestal with a metal plate designed by sculptor Peter Lewandowsky. Part of the prize's endowment was a tour of the winning film with its director and a critic, often with Sven Eggers, to cultural cinemas, art houses and film society, film clubs. The award was named after a glacial erratic, but plays with the word as it also means "foundling (other), foundling". Sometimes, though wrong, you read Findling Prize.
