A total of 16 teams competed in the league. The season began on 29 September 2018 and concluded on 8 January 2019. It was the first top division league held since the 2015 National League due to aftermath of the 2015 Nepal earthquake. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) (Nepali language, Nepali: अखिल नेपाल फुटबल संघ (एन्फा)) is the governing body of football in Nepal. The National League (also known as Red Bull National League) is a club-level association football competition in Nepal. The champions secured qualification to a continental cup, previously the AFC President's Cup (now AFC Cup). It took place for two seasons in 2011–12 and 2015. Koteshwor
Koteshwor is a place, located in Kathmandu District. In 1991, Kathmandu Metropolitan City was expanded by incorporating Koteshwor as Ward No. 32 (previously 35). It encompasses 395 hectares and is bounded by the Manohara river in the east and south, the Bagmati river in the west, and share borders with Gothatar in the north, Madhyapur Thimi municipality of Bhaktapur District in east and Lalitpur metropolitan city in the south.
