Sanan Sjugirov
Sanan Sjugirov (russian: Санан Сюгиров; born 31 January 1993) is a Russian chess grandmaster. He was European champion and world champion in his age category. Sjugirov competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2009 and 2015. Chess career Sjugirov won the World Youth Chess Championships in 2003, in the U-10 section, and 2007, in the U-14. In the European Youth Chess Championships, he won in the U-12 division in 2004 and 2005, and in the U-14 in 2007. In 2008, Sjugirov won the Russian U-20 Championship and the First Saturday GM tournament of May in Budapest. In 2009 he qualified, through the Higher League, to the Superfinal of the Russian Chess Championship, where he was the youngest participant. He scored 3 points from 9 games. Vladimir Borisovich Kramnik (russian: Влади́мир Бори́сович Кра́мник; born 25 June 1975) is a Russian chess grandmaster. He was the Classical World Chess Champion from 2000 to 2006, and the undisputed World Chess Champion from 2006 to 2007. He has won three team gold medals and three individual medals at Chess Olympiads. In 2000, Kramnik defeated Garry Kasparov and became the Classical World Chess Champion. He defended his title in 2004 against Peter Leko, and defeated the reigning FIDE World Champion Veselin Topalov in a unification match in 2006. Anish Kumar Giri ( ne, अनीश कुमार गिरी; russian: Аниш Кумар Гири; born 28 June 1994) is a Russian-born Dutch chess grandmaster. A chess prodigy, he completed the requirements for the title Grandmaster at the age of 14 years, 7 months and 2 days. FIDE awarded him the title in 2009. The Qatar Masters Open is an open chess tournament organized by the Qatar Chess Association in Doha, Qatar. Its first edition took place from 25 November to 5 December 2014.
