Samina Peerzada
Samina Peerzada (, Punjabi, ) is a film and television actress, producer and director from Pakistan. Personal life Samina was born into an educated Kashmiri Butt family in Lahore, but was raised in Karachi, Sindh Pakistan. After graduating in commerce she chose to pursue a career in acting. After many successful years of acting in television dramas and minor roles in television advertisements Samina was cast in starring roles in several films. She married Usman Peerzada, a fellow media personality, in 1975. The couple have two daughters, Anum and Amal. Their younger daughter ''Amal'' is a miniature artist. Career Samina started her career in 1982 and has acted in several films including ''Nazdikiyan'', '' Mukhra'', ''Bazar-e-Husn'', ''Shaadi Mere Shohar Ki'' and '' Bulandi''. Dastaan (2010 TV Series)
''Dastaan'' ( ur, , lit=The tale) is a Pakistani TV series based on the novel '' Bano'', by Razia Butt. Broadcast on Hum TV in 2010, it was dramatized by Samira Fazal. Based on the partition of the Indian Subcontinent and the resulting independence of Pakistan, the story takes place takes place between 1947 and 1956. The drama depicts the story of Bano, a girl from a close knit Muslim family living in Ludhiana (located in undivided Punjab) in the pre-1947 era. The story is about the trials and tribulations Bano faces after she decides to dedicate her life to the All-India Muslim League. ''Dastaan'' is the first project of its kind taken up by the Pakistani media. ''Inteha'' ( ur, ) is a Pakistani Urdu film which was released in 1999 across theaters in Pakistan. The movie was Samina Peerzada's debut directorial attempt and established the careers of its two leading men Humayun Saeed and Zeeshan Sikander. These actors, incidentally, made their debuts with ''Inteha''. Synopsis ''Inteha'' is the story of Sara (Meera), a young woman from a well-off background, studying at a liberal arts college.
