Hum Honorary Television Award
The Hum Honorary Television Award, organized in 2013 for the 1st Hum Awards, was given by the board of directors of the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel to the stars of Pakistani television to recognize their lifetime of work and achievements in the television industry. Hum TV overviewed this award with the inception of its first ceremony, this is one of the special awards given by the channel directors for exceptional achievements. All the categorized and organized special awards are given annually during the ceremony. Honorary Television Award incepted with the origin of first awards. At the first ceremony, ten legendary Pakistan television stars were awarded. 1st Hum Awards
The 1st Servis Hum Awards Ceremony (referred to as Hum Awards), presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC), sponsored by Servis, Telenor and co-sponsored by Nokia Lumia, honour the best dramas of 2012 of Hum (its own channel) and to honour Fashion and Music. The ceremony took place on March 12, 2013, at the Expo Center in Karachi beginning at PM/IST 8:00 p.m. and was televised on 28 April 2013. During the ceremony, the Hum Channel presented Awards in 24 regular categories along with in 3 honorary and in 2 special categories. The ceremony was televised in Pakistan by Hum TV. Hosts Mikaal Zulfiqar, Mahira Khan and co-host Vasay Chaudhry became the first ever hosts of the ceremony. Talat Hussain (actor)
Talat Hussain Warsi, is a Pakistani actor. He is the son of Altaf Hussain Warsi and Shaista Begum who was one of the pioneering voices of Radio Pakistan, Karachi. Career Hussain has worked in several foreign films, television drama serials and long plays, including Channel Four's television serial ''Traffik'' and '' Family Pride.'' In 2006, Hussain won the Amanda Award for the Best Supporting Role in Norwegian film ''Import-export'' (2005). He also worked in the Indian film ''Sautan Ki Beti'' and made a guest appearance in ''Jinnah'' (1998 film). Talat Hussain's career has been recorded by the author Huma Mir in the book ''Yeh Hain Talat Hussain''. Samina Peerzada
Samina Peerzada (, Punjabi, ) is a film and television actress, producer and director from Pakistan. Personal life Samina was born into an educated Kashmiri Butt family in Lahore, but was raised in Karachi, Sindh Pakistan. After graduating in commerce she chose to pursue a career in acting. 3rd Hum Awards
The 3rd Hum Awards ceremony, presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC), sponsored by Servis and Telenor, honored the best in fashion, music and Hum Television Dramas of 2014 and took place on 9 April 2015, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, UAE at 8:30 p.m. UAE Standard Time and was televised on 23 May at 7:30 p.m. PST. During the ceremony, HTNEC presented Hum Awards in 25 categories along with 3 in honorary and 2 in special categories. Dawn News is one of Pakistan's 24-hour Urdu news channel. Based in Karachi, the station is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's largest English-language media group. The test transmission of the station occurred on 25 May 2007, and the channel went live on 23 July 2007. Originally broadcast in English, on 15 May 2010, Dawn News converted into an Urdu news channel after successful test transmission of four hours a day. Anwar Maqsood Hameedi (born 7 September 1939, Urdu:), popularly known as Anwar Maqsood, is a Pakistani scriptwriter, television presenter, satirist, humorist, and infrequent actor.
