Sabari District
Sabari & Yaqubi District is situated in the northwest part of Khost Province, Afghanistan. It borders Musa Khel District to the west, Paktia Province to the north, Bak District to the east and Tere Zayi and Khost districts to the south. Sabari & Yaqubi District has its own governor, who is appointed by the serving governor of Khost Province, and the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) are responsible for all law enforcement activities. According to Afghanistan's National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA), the 2020 estimated population of the district was 80,114 people. The district center is the town of Yaqubi, located in the most eastern part of the district. Green

Haqqani Network
The Haqqani network is an Afghan Islamist group, built around the family of the same name, that has used asymmetric warfare in Afghanistan to fight against Soviet forces in the 1980s, and US-led NATO forces and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan government in the 21st century. It is considered to be a "semi-autonomous" offshoot of the Taliban. It has been most active in eastern Afghanistan and across the border in north-west Pakistan. The Haqqani network was founded in 1970 by Jalaluddin Haqqani, a fundamentalist of the Zadran tribe, who fought for Yunus Khalis's mujahideen faction against the Soviets in the 1980s. Zambar, Afghanistan
Zambar is a village in Sabari District of northern Khost Province of southeastern Afghanistan, although it appears to have formerly been in neighboring Paktia Province. It is located roughly north as the crow flies of the city of Khost but much further by road, and about the same distance from the Pakistani border. The Zambar Toy flows past the village. Abbas Khan, said to be the strongest Hazbi Islami leader in the district and Also Governor of Hazbi Islami for khost province, hails from Zambar. May 2020 Afghanistan Attacks
In May 2020, a series of insurgent attacks took place in Afghanistan, starting when the Taliban killed 20 Afghan soldiers and wounded 29 others in Zari, Balkh and Grishk, Helmand on 1 and 3 May, respectively. On 12 May, a hospital's maternity ward in Kabul and a funeral in Kuz Kunar (Khewa), Nangarhar were attacked, resulting in the deaths of 56 people and injuries of 148 others, including newborn babies, mothers, nurses, and mourners. ISIL–KP claimed responsibility for the funeral bombing, but no insurgent group claimed responsibility for the hospital shooting. The Afghan government blamed the Taliban as the main perpetrators behind the 12 May attacks, and immediately ordered the military to resume its offensives against the Taliban and other insurgent groups. Yaqubi
Yaqubi is a village and union council in Tehsil Razzar, of the Swabi District, Pakistan. The largest village of Swabi is Yarhussain which lies in the north of Yaqubi. Yarhussain is situated on Adena and chota Lahor road. Yaqubi is in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, lying about 25 kilometres from Mardan and 85 kilometres from the provincial capital of Peshawar.
