Réseau des Appalaches (Appalachian Network) is a radio broadcasting company in the Canada, Canadian province of Quebec, consisting of three stations based in southeastern Quebec. The company was founded by François Labbé in 1972, and was the first commercial French language radio network in Canada. at the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The company also formerly owned three additional radio stations in other communities in the region, which have since been sold to other broadcasters. CKLD-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting a soft adult contemporary format at 105.5 FM in Thetford Mines, Quebec. It shares the programming of sister station CFDA-FM in Victoriaville. The stations air the same programming at all times, although both stations produce a portion of the shared broadcast schedule from separate studios. Their CHR sister station CFJO-FM also produces programming in both cities, although it serves the region from a single 100-kilowatt transmitter. Plessisville, Quebec is a county seat of L'Érable Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada. Routes 116 and 165 go through it. The city is 185 km from Montreal and 95 km from Quebec City. Plessisville's claim to fame is as the "World's Maple Capital"; the city has hosted an annual Maple festival since 1958, and the ''Institut québécois de l'érable'' (Quebec Maple Institute) is headquartered there. CJIT-FM is a Canadian radio station that broadcasts a contemporary hit radio format on the frequency 106.7 FM in Lac-Mégantic, Quebec. History The station originally began broadcasting in 1968 as CKFL broadcasting at 1340 AM, moved to 1400 AM in 1972 and then to its current FM frequency in 2000 as CJIT. In March 2007, Les Productions du temps perdu inc. received permission to acquire CJIT-FM from 9063-0104 Québec inc., doing business under the name of Radio Gaé-Rit Lac Mégantic. Victoriaville is a town in central Quebec, Canada, on the Nicolet River. Victoriaville is the seat of Arthabaska Regional County Municipality and a part of the Centre-du-Québec (Bois-Francs) region. It is formed by the 1993 merger of Arthabaska, Saint-Victoire-d'Arthabaska and Victoriaville, the name of the last being used for the merged town.
