Kölner Tennis- und Hockey-Club Stadion Rot-Weiss e.V., also known as KTHC Stadion Rot-Weiss or simply Rot-Weiss Köln, is a German professional field hockey and tennis club based in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia. The home ground is the Kölner Stadtwald. The men's 1st XI have won the Bundesliga nine times, and have also competed in the Euro Hockey League, which they won in the 2016–17 season. The women's 1st XI have won the Bundesliga five times. 2018 Men's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup
The 2018 Men's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup was the 29th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup, Europe's premier club indoor hockey tournament organized by the EHF. It was held from 16 to 18 February 2019 in Wettingen, Switzerland. Rot-Weiss Köln won a record-extending ninth title by defeating Racing Club de Bruxelles 5–2 in the final, Dinamo Elektrostal took the bronze medal and Surbiton and Complutense were relegated to the Trophy division. Mink Van Der Weerden
Mink Alphons Louis van der Weerden (; born 19 October 1988) is a Dutch former field hockey player who played as a defender. He started playing hockey at HCAS and has since also played for Oranje Zwart and Oranje-Rood. He joined Rot-Weiss Köln in the summer of 2020. Van der Weerden made his debut for the national team in 2010 and has since played in three Olympic Games, two World Cups and three European Championships. He studies physiotherapy. Club career Van der Weerden took up field hockey aged 10 in 2000 following his mother at HCAS. Later he moved to Oranje Zwart. After Oranje Zwart merged in 2016 with EMHC he signed a four-year contract for the newly formed club HC Oranje-Rood. Timur Oruz
Timur Oruz (born 27 October 1994) is a German field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Bundesliga club Rot-Weiss Köln. He played a total of 115 matches for the German national team from 2014 until 2023. International career Oruz represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he won the bronze medal. On 28 May 2021, he was named in the squads for the 2021 EuroHockey Championship and the 2020 Summer Olympics. In February 2024 he announced his retirement from the national team. Johannes Große (born 7 January 1997) is a German field hockey player who plays as a defender or midfielder for Bundesliga club Club an der Alster and the German national team. Club career Große grew up in Berlin and started playing hockey at the Zehlendorfer Wespen when he was three years old. When he was eighteen years old he left them for Club an der Alster. After three seasons in Hamburg he went to Rot-Weiss Köln for the 2018–19 season. In March 2024 it was announced he will return to Club an der Alster after the 2023–24 season. Vincent Vanasch
Vincent Vanasch (born 21 December 1987) is a Belgian professional field hockey player who plays as a goalkeeper for Orée and the Belgium national team. Club career Vanasch has been involved in hockey from an early age; his father "Jean" created the youth school of the "Royal Evere White Star Hockey Club". He did all his classes until the first team with which he won several titles (grass and indoor). Jan Christopher Rühr (born 19 December 1993) is a German field hockey player who plays as a forward for Rot-Weiss Köln and the Germany national team. Rühr was awarded the FIH Rising Star of the Year Award in 2013 and 2015. He represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he won the bronze medal. He was educated at Seaford College.
