Roman Rafreider
Roman Rafreider (born 22 November 1969) is an Austrian television host and journalist. Life Rafreider studied political science and law in Vienna, Paris and Innsbruck. During his studies, he worked at different newspaper companies. He started his journalistic career in 1995 at the ORF-Landesstudio Vorarlberg, where he worked as an editor and radio host. In 1998, he also hosted the show ''Vorarlberg heute''. In 1999, he switched over to ORF's main news programme Zeit im Bild at their corporate headquarters in Vienna. There, he worked as host and chief editor of ''ZiB 3''. In 2002, Rafreider became host of ''Thema''. Furthermore he hosted ORF's consumer magazine ''Gut beraten Österreich''. Romy Awards
The Romy television award in honor of the German-born and naturalized French actress Romy Schneider, born in Vienna, was created in 1990 by the Austrian newspaper ''Kurier'' – or rather their movie reviewer Rudolf John, who also designed the 30.5 cm gilded trophy. Bregenz
Bregenz (; gsw, label= Vorarlbergian, Breagaz ) is the capital of Vorarlberg, the westernmost state of Austria. ''Zeit im Bild (ZiB)'' is the name for the television news broadcasts of ORF, running since December 1955. History The first ''Zeit im Bild'' was broadcast on December 5, 1955; two editions were broadcast that day, at 5pm and 7:30pm. The format of the bulletins was based on those at the time of the BBC, in which an in-vision presenter read out the day's news. The title ''Zeit im Bild'' (roughly, ''The Time in the Picture'') was thought up by the TV journalist and later ORF Director General Teddy Podgorski. From February 3, 1975, the news broadcast on ORF's first TV channel (FS 1) was renamed to ''Zeit im Bild 1'' at 7.30 pm and was supplemented by ''Zeit im Bild 2'' on the second channel (FS 2). ORF 1 (''ORF eins'') is an Austrian public television channel owned by ORF. It was the first television channel in Austria, started in 1955. ORF 1 is one of four public TV channels in Austria. It is funded by a mixture of advertising revenue and television licence fees: as such, unlike the German TV stations (which are generally available free-to-air), ORF 1 and its sister channels are encrypted over satellite.
