Robinson Group
Robinson Group () is a group of small islands extending in an east–west direction, lying close northwest of Cape Daly. The group was observed by British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE) under Mawson, 1931, who named it after W.S. Robinson of Melbourne, a patron of the expedition. Essentially the same islands were observed in 1931 by the crew of the Norwegian whale catcher ''Thorgaut'', who gave them the name "Thorgautoyane". In concurrence with the recommendations by Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA), the name "Robinson" has been assigned to the whole group and the name "Thorgaut" to the most conspicuous island. Cape Daly
Cape Daly () is an ice-covered promontory on the coast of Antarctica, west of Safety Island and close southeast of the Robinson Group. British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition
The British Australian (and) New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE) was a research expedition into Antarctica between 1929 and 1931, involving two voyages over consecutive Austral summers. It was a British Commonwealth initiative, driven more by geopolitics than science, and funded by the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The leader of the BANZARE was Sir Douglas Mawson and there were several subcommanders (Captain K.N. MacKenzie, who replaced Captain John King Davis for the second summer) on board the RRS Discovery, the ship previously used by Robert Falcon Scott. The BANZARE, which also made several short flights in a small plane, mapped the coastline of Antarctica and discovered Mac. Melbourne
Melbourne ( ; Boonwurrung/Woiwurrung: ''Narrm'' or ''Naarm'') is the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of Victoria, and the second-most populous city in both Australia and Oceania. Antarctic Names Committee Of Australia
The Australian Antarctic Names and Medals Committee (AANMC) was established to advise the Government on names for features in the Australian Antarctic Territory and the subantarctic territory of Heard Island and the McDonald Islands. The committee also issues nominations Governor General for the award of the Australian Antarctic Medal. Committee members were appointed by the Minister or Parliamentary Secretary responsible for Antarctic matters. The committee was founded in 1952 as the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia, and changed to the current name in 1982 to reflect the multiple functions that the committee is responsible for. Island

The Child Rocks are a group of rocks at the west end of the Robinson Group off the coast of Mac. Robertson Land, west of Andersen Island. They were mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and named "Vestskjera" (the west skerries). Andersen Island
Andersen Island is an island west of Thorgaut Island, and east of Child Rocks, in the Robinson Group, Antarctica. It was mapped by the British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition under Douglas Mawson in February 1931. The island was also charted from the whaler ''Thorgaut'' about the same time. It was named after Captain Lars Andersen of the whaler ''Falk'' who had assisted the ''Discovery'' with coal. Thorgaut Island
Thorgaut Island is an island off Antarctica, the largest island in the northeast part of the Robinson Group, lying 7 nautical miles (13 km) northwest of Cape Daly on the coast of Antarctica, 4 nautical miles (7 km) east of Andersen Island Andersen Island is an island west of Thorgaut Island, and east of Child Rocks, in the Robinson Group, Antarctica. Kirton Island is a small coastal island of the Robinson Group, lying west of Cape Daly, Mac. Robertson Land, Antarctica, and about south of Macklin Island. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and was named by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia for M. Kirton, a geophysicist at Mawson Station in 1959. Macklin Island is a small island in the eastern part of the Robinson Group, about north of Kirton Island, and northwest of Cape Daly, Mac. Robertson Land, Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and was named by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia for E.L. Macklin, a radio officer at Mawson Station in 1955 and 1959. Auster Islands
The Auster Islands are a group of small islands at the northeast end of the Robinson Group, located north of Cape Daly, Mac. Robertson Land.
