Roberto Cani
Roberto Salvatore Cani (born 17 October 1967) is an Italian violinist. Roberto Cani was a prizewinner in the Paganini (Genoa, 1990), Jeunesses Musicales ( Belgrade, 1991), and Courcillon (France, 1991) International Competitions. He also won honours in the Tchaikovsky International Competition (Moscow, 1994). Biography Roberto Cani was born in Milan, Italy. His parents are both of Sicilian descent. He has an older sister, Silvana, and a younger sister, Sandra. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Education Roberto Cani began his studies on the violin at the age of seven. He attended the Milan Conservatory of Music in Milan, where he was awarded the Minetti Prize in 1986. He also attended the Gnessin Institute of Music in Moscow, and the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles. Pavel Vernikov ( ukr, Павло Верніков) is a Ukrainian violinist, a member of Vienna University and a winner of Munich International Competition. Biography Vernikov was born in Odesa where he graduated from the Stolyarsky Music School where he studied with Mordkovich brothers under a mentorship of Semyon Snitkovsky at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Later on, he participated in various Violin Competitions in both Germany (Munich) and Italy (Florence) and since then appeared worldwide in such places as both Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center in New York, London's Wigmore Hall and many others. Daniele Gatti (born 6 November 1961) is an Italian conductor. He is currently chief conductor of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, artistic advisor of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and music director of the Orchestra Mozart. Biography Gatti was born in Milan.
