Responsible Autonomy
Responsible Autonomy ( it, Autonomia Responsabile, AR) is a centrist to centre-right political party active in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. The party was launched as a "civic list" in support of Renzo Tondo, incumbent President of The People of Freedom in the 2013 regional election. In the event, Tondo was defeated by Debora Serracchiani of the Democratic Party, but AR obtained 10.7% of the vote and four councillors. Others joined later on. During 2014 AR was organised into a party, under the leadership of president Bruno Tellia, a university professor, and secretary Vanni Lenna, a former member of the Chamber of Deputies. Also, the party was officially joined by Tondo, who became floor leader, replacing Roberto Dipiazza. In 2016 Dipiazza was elected mayor of Trieste and the entire party's leadership was reshuffled: Tellia was replaced as president by Tondo, while Lenna was succeeded as secretary by Giulia Manzan. Renzo Tondo
Renzo Tondo (born 7 August 1956) is an Italian politician, former President of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Early life He graduated in Political Sciences at the University of Trieste. He began his career as a hotel keeper. Career First political experiences Tondo moved into politics with the Italian Socialist Party, with whom he was elected mayor of his hometown Tolmezzo from 1990 to 1995. First gubernatorial term In 1998, Tondo became Regional Councilor with Forza Italia. In 2001 he was appointed President of the Regional Council of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. In 2006, Tondo was elected to the Chamber of Deputies. Second gubernatorial term In 2008, Tondo was re-elected President of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, supported by the centre-right coalition, defeating the incumbent governor Riccardo Illy, who was supported by the Democratic Party. Roberto Dipiazza
Roberto Dipiazza (born 1 February 1953) is an Italian entrepreneur and politician. A member of the centre-right party Forza Italia, he has been mayor of Muggia between 1996 and 2001 and mayor of Trieste between 2001 and 2011 and again since 2016. Career His working career started as a large-scale retail manager before setting up his own business enterprise in Trieste's province. His political debut happened in December 1996 when he was elected Mayor of Muggia as the leader of a centre-right coalition. His administration claimed to have renovated the old town and to have revived tourism thanks mainly to the new ''Porto S.
