Bacidia
''Bacidia'' is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Ramalinaceae. The genus was circumscribed by Giuseppe De Notaris in 1846. Species in the genus are crust-like lichens with stemless apothecia; they have green algae (chloroccoid) as photobionts. Their asci have 8 colorless, cylindrical to acicular, multiseptate spores, with curved and thread-like conidia. Species *'' Bacidia absistens'' *'' Bacidia albogranulosa'' *'' Bacidia alutacea'' *'' Bacidia arceutina'' *'' Bacidia areolata'' – Russian Far East *'' Bacidia beckhausii'' *'' Bacidia biatorina'' *'' Bacidia brigitteae'' – Kangaroo Island *'' Bacidia caesiovirens'' – western Europe *'' Bacidia campbelliae'' *'' Bacidia carneoglauca'' *'' Bacidia chrysocolla'' *''Bacidia circumspecta'' *'' Bacidia conspicua'' *'' Bacidia convexa'' *'' Bacidia cornea'' *'' Bacidia coruscans'' *'' Bacidia curvispora'' *'' Bacidia cylindrophora'' *'' Bacidia effusa'' *'' Bacidia ekmaniana'' *'' Bacidia elong ...

Krogia
''Krogia'' is a genus of corticolous lichens in the family Ramalinaceae. It occurs in tropical humid forests and rainforests. The genus was circumscribed by Norwegian lichenologist Einar Timdal in 2002, with '' Krogia coralloides'' assigned as the type species. The genus name of ''Krogia'' is in honour of Hildur Krog (1922–2014), who was a Norwegian botanist. Bibbya
''Bibbya'' is a genus of fruticose lichens in the family Ramalinaceae. Taxonomy The genus was circumscribed in 1956 by Australian botanist James Hamlyn Willis, with ''Bibbya muelleri'' assigned as the type species. The generic name honours Patrick Noel Sumner Bibby (1907–1955), a colleague with whom Willis had collaborated, and who had died the year previously. In 1992, Einer Timdal included ''Bibbya'' in ''Toninia''. The genus was resurrected in 2018 after a comprehensive molecular phylogeny of the family Ramalinaceae. The authors transferred several species previously placed in genus ''Toninia'', as well as one previously placed in ''Bacidia''. Description ''Bibbya'' is characterized by the presence of a reddish-brown pigment in the epithecium (the tissue layer above the asci) and in the rim of the exciple (the ring-like structure surrounding the apothecium). The thallus varies in form from crustose to squamulose or bullate (covered with rounded swellings like blisters). The ...

Bilimbia
''Bilimbia'' is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Ramalinaceae. Taxonomy ''Bilimbia'' was circumscribed by Italian botanist Giuseppe De Notaris in 1846. He included two species, ''B. hexamera'' and ''B. tetramera''. Although once widely used by lichenologists, in the 1900s it fell into disuse as authors realized that the name had already been used previously for a genus of phanerogams (as ''Bilimbia'' heedeRchb., published by Ludwig Reichenbach in 1837). Furthermore, Alexander Zahlbruckner transferred the ''Bilimbia'' lichens to the genus ''Bacidia'' in his two of his works (1926 and 1932). A reassessment of the nomenclatural status of Reichenbach's genus determined that it was not published validly, and De Notaris' ''Bilimbia'' was resurrected for use. Molecular phylogenetic evidence suggests that the genus forms a well-supported monophyletic clade within the Ramalinaceae. De Notaris did not specify a type species when he created the genus. Bruce Fink de ...

Coppinsidea
''Coppinsidea'' is a genus of two species of crustose lichens in the family Ramalinaceae. It was circumscribed in 2019 by lichenologists Sergey Kondratyuk, Edit Farkas, and Laszlo Lőkös with ''Coppinsidea sphaerella'' designated as the type species. Species of ''Coppinsidea'' are similar in appearance and morphology to '' Thamnolecania'', but differ from them in having a thallus that is crustose (rather than fruticose, mostly convex to almost spherical apothecia that are lecideine or biatorine in structure, as well as in being distributed in the Northern Hemisphere. The genus is named to honour British lichenologist Brian J. Coppins. Species *'' Coppinsidea sphaerella'' *'' Coppinsidea vainioana'' Several species included in the original circumscription of the genus have since been moved to other genera: *''Coppinsidea alba'' ('' Biatora veteranorum'') *''Coppinsidea aphana'' ('' Catillaria aphana'') *''Coppinsidea croatica'' (''Lecania croatica ''Lecania'' is a ...
