Rakhi Birla (born 10 June 1987) is an Indian politician serving as Deputy Speaker of Delhi Legislative Assembly. She has served as Cabinet Minister of Women & Child, Social Welfare and Languages in the Government of Delhi. She represents Mangol Puri constituency from Aam Admi Party. Early life and education She was born in Delhi. She adopted ''Birla'' as her surname when her school administration mistakenly wrote Birla instead of Bidhlan in her class 10th certificate. She was the youngest of four daughters. She did Masters in Mass Communication from NBA School Of Mass Communication, New Delhi. 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in Delhi on 8 February 2020 to elect 70 members of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. Voters turnout was recorded at 62.82%, a decline of 4.65% from the previous assembly election in Delhi but 2.2% more than the 2019 Indian general election in Delhi. The Government of Delhi, officially the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) is the governing body of the Union Territory of Delhi, whose urban area is the seat of the Government of India. 2014 Lok Sabha Election
General elections were held in India in nine phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014 to elect the members of the 16th Lok Sabha. With 834 million registered voters, they were the largest-ever elections in the world until being surpassed by the 2019 elections. Around 23.1 million or 2.7% of the total eligible voters were aged 18–19 years. A total of 8,251 candidates contested the 543 elected Lok Sabha seats. Udit Raj (born 1 January 1958) is an Indian politician and member of Indian National Congress. He was a Member of Parliament between 2014 and 2019 in the Lok Sabha, representing the North West Delhi as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party.
