Rainha Dos Raios
''Rainha dos Raios'' (Queen of Lightning) is the second album by Brazilian singer Alice Caymmi, released on 9 September 2014. It is her first album via Joia Moderna and with producer Diogo Strausz. While her previous album, ''Alice Caymmi'', consisted mostly of original songs and two covers, ''Rainha dos Raios'' does the opposite and brings covers and two original tracks. According to Caymmi, this shift came after a few changes she went through - she said she is no longer performing songs from the previous album. She commented: In another interview, she defined the album as follows: ''Rainha dos Raios'' was followed by her first Brazilian tour, starting in Salvador, Bahia. About doing so many covers, she stated: "I don't like to write what I want to say, I like to use other people's words. ..I like to sing situations that I never saw happening. Alice Caymmi
Alice Caymmi (born Alice Malaguti Caymmi on March 17, 1990) is a Brazilian singer and composer. She is the granddaughter of Dorival Caymmi, daughter of Danilo and Simone Caymmi and niece of Nana and Dori Caymmi. Career Before opting for a musical life, Alice studied law. Afterwards, she studied performing arts cênicas at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. Her first professional recording was at the age of 12 in her aunt Nana's album ''Desejo'', specifically on the track "Seus Olhos", written by her sister Juliana. Shortly after, they performed the song with Nana at a sold-out Canecão. In 2007, she took part of the ending ceremony of the 2007 Pan American Games with her father Danilo. Jeanette (Spanish Singer)
Janette Anne Dimech (born 10 October 1951), known professionally as Jeanette, is a Spanish singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence as the lead singer of teenage folk-pop group Pic-Nic, which had a hit in 1968 with her song "Cállate, niña". Jeanette returned to music as a solo artist and experienced commercial success in 1971 with the hit single "Soy rebelde", which redefined her career as a romantic ballad artist and was a worldwide hit amongst Spanish-speaking countries and communities, eventually becoming a generational anthem. Polly Jean Harvey (born 9 October 1969) is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. Primarily known as a vocalist and guitarist, she is also proficient with a wide range of instruments. Maysa Figueira Monjardim (June 6, 1936 – January 22, 1977), better known as Maysa Matarazzo, was a Brazilian singer-songwriter, performer and actress. She is also associated with Bossa nova music but is widely known as a torch song (''fossa'') interpreter.
