Alice Caymmi
Alice Caymmi (born Alice Malaguti Caymmi on March 17, 1990) is a Brazilian singer and composer. She is the granddaughter of Dorival Caymmi, daughter of Danilo and Simone Caymmi and niece of Nana and Dori Caymmi. Career Before opting for a musical life, Alice studied law. Afterwards, she studied performing arts cênicas at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. Her first professional recording was at the age of 12 in her aunt Nana's album ''Desejo'', specifically on the track "Seus Olhos", written by her sister Juliana. Shortly after, they performed the song with Nana at a sold-out Canecão. In 2007, she took part of the ending ceremony of the 2007 Pan American Games with her father Danilo. 2007 Pan American Games
The 2007 Pan American Games, officially known as the XV Pan American Games, were a major continental multi-sport event that took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from July 13 to 29, 2007. A total of 5,633 athletes from 42 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) competed in 332 events in 34 sports and in 47 disciplines. ''Electra'' is the fourth album by Brazilian singer Alice Caymmi, released on 27 May 2019. It was produced by Caymmi herself and DJ Zé Pedro, who helped her choose the repertoire, and recorded in just two days. The album features only Caymmi and a pianist ( Itamar Assiere), with no additional musicians involved. Background and promotion The album sees Caymmi singing alone and accompanied by a piano. The first time she performed this way was in August 2014, when she promoted a spectacle called "Um Piano Bar no Inferno" (a piano bar in Hell) with Helio Flanders. Exactly four years later, she would repeat the format in a show in Salvador, Bahia, with the name "Para minha tia Nana" (for my aunt Nana), due to the fact that most of the repertoire consisted of songs by Nana Caymmi, her aunt. Ana Carolina Sousa (, born September 9, 1974) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and musician. Career Carolina has a contralto vocal range. Her musical influence comes from the crib, her grandmother used to sing on the radio, and her great aunt and uncle played percussion, piano, cello, and violin. ''Rainha dos Raios'' (Queen of Lightning) is the second album by Brazilian singer Alice Caymmi, released on 9 September 2014. It is her first album via Joia Moderna and with producer Diogo Strausz.
