Rachel Erickson
Rachel Erickson (born January 9, 1999) is a Canadian curler from Maryfield, Saskatchewan. She is currently the lead on Team Chelsea Carey. She was the alternate for the Mackenzie Zacharias rink that won the 2020 World Junior Curling Championships. Career Erickson's first national championships was in 2016 at the 2016 U18 International Curling Championships where she skipped Saskatchewan to a 3–2 record. She won the provincial championship again the following year and finished 3–5 at the 2017 Canadian U18 Curling Championships. Two years later, she won her first provincial junior title and finished in seventh place with a 5–5 record at the 2019 Canadian Junior Curling Championships in her home province. She joined the Ashley Thevenot rink at third the following season and the team won the provincial junior championship. 2022 Players' Championship
The 2022 Players' Championship, Princess Auto Players' Championship was held April 12–17 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Ontario. It was the fourth Grand Slam of Curling, Grand Slam and final major of the 2021–22 curling season, following the cancellation of the Open (curling), Meridian Open. Despite feeling ill in the final due to food poisioning, Anna Hasselborg led her team to their seventh Grand Slam title, and completed a career Grand Slam, becoming the first women's team to do so. Qualification The top 16 ranked men's and women's teams on the World Curling Federation's world team rankings qualified for the event. The 2021 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic was held from October 8 to 11 at the Calgary Curling Club in Calgary, Alberta. The event was held in a triple-knockout format with a purse of $44,000. 2021 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national women's curling championship, was held from February 19 to 28 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta. The winning Kerri Einarson team represented Canada at the 2021 World Women's Curling Championship. The world championship was supposed to be held at the Curlinghalle Schaffhausen in Schaffhausen, Switzerland; however, the event was cancelled and rescheduled to the "Calgary bubble" of the Markin MacPhail Centre. The event was originally scheduled to be held in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, it was announced that most Curling Canada championships still being held in the 2020–21 curling season would be moved to a centralized "bubble" (similar to that of the NHL as in Edmonton) at Canada Olympic Park. Jennifer Armstrong (curler)
Jennifer Armstrong (born August 1, 1992) is a Canadian curler from White City, Saskatchewan. She currently plays second on Team Nancy Martin. She is a three-time New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion. Career Juniors Armstrong's first national level event was at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. There, she skipped her team to a 7–5 round robin record. In 2012 she went on to represent New Brunswick again at the Canadian Juniors. In 2014, she represented UNB at the 2014 CIS/CCA Curling Championships. Women's Out of juniors, Armstrong joined the Melissa Adams rink at third. They competed in local World Curling Tour events with their best finish at the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic where they won the title. At the 2016 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the team made it all the way to the final where they just came up short to Team Robichaud. Stephanie Marguerite Schmidt (born November 1, 1989 as Stephanie McVicar in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian curler, artist, and designer from Regina, Saskatchewan. She currently plays third on Team Nancy Martin. Design career Schmidt received a bachelor's degree in Design at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and a minor in Illustration, completed at Rhode Island School of Design 2013. In 2013, Schmidt would intern for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and assist in designing the 101st Grey Cup and the set of Sasktel's Rider Coaches Show. Curling career Juniors Schmidt made her first national curling debut skipping at the 2007 Canada Winter Games. Schmidt and team would finish 4th overall.
