Aigualluts is a karst formation and waterfall in the Province of Huesca, northeastern Spain. It lies along the Ésera River, at 2074 m above sea level on Pico Aneto. Aneto (''pic d'Aneto'' in French language, French, formerly ''pic de Néthou'') is the highest mountain in the Pyrenees and in Aragon, and Spain's third-highest mountain, reaching a height of . Posets Peak
Pico Posets or Punta de Llardana is the second highest peak of the Pyrenees, after Aneto. It is located in the Spain, Spanish province of Huesca (province), Huesca and is high. Ascent route From the ''Angel Orús'' refuge (2,095 m), a well-marked path heads northwest. After an hour of climbing the route crosses a stream. Further on, the path forks. The route follows the right-hand fork along a narrow valley (''Canal Fonda''), which has a snowy section almost all year round, so it is advisable to take an ice axe and crampons. In under three hours, the path leads to the foot of the ''Tooth of Llardana'' (which can be ascended more easily when returning from the summit of the Posets). Following the stone slope after four hours of ascent the summit is reached. The descent to the refuge follows the same route and takes about three hours. Maladeta
Maladeta (3,312 m) is a mountain in the Pyrenees, close to the highest peak in the range, Aneto. It is located in the Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta in the town of Benasque in Province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. Its northern slope contains the Maladeta Glacier, which is divided into the Western Maladeta and the Eastern Maladeta. Maladeta was previously considered to be highest peak in the area, and attempts to reach its summit took priority over the other peaks in the range. The first successful ascent of the peak was made by Johann Jacob Friedrich Wilhelm Parrot with guide Pierre Barrau in 1817. Etymology The name "Maladeta" comes from the Spanish ''montes malditos'', which means "Damned Mountains". According to some authorities the local name for the massif was ''Mala hita'' ("bad rocks" or "bad upper regions").
