Pille Pürg
Pille Pürg (born 9 March 1972 in Tartu) is an Estonian actress, comedian and parodist. Pürg graduated from Tartu Secondary School No. 5 in 1990. In 2012, she graduated from the Helsinki Theatre Academy with a degree in television and comedy acting. From 1991 until 2003, Pürg worked at Vanalinnastuudio in Tallinn as an actress and performance director. She later worked at the Old Baskin's Theatre in Tallinn as a contracted actress. Pürg works predominantly in Estonia, as well as in Finland. She has performed on comedy tours with Madis Milling and Henrik Normann since 2005. Tartu
Tartu is the second largest city in Estonia after the Northern European country's political and financial capital, Tallinn. Tartu has a population of 91,407 (as of 2021). Estonians or Estonian people ( et, eestlased) are a Finnic ethnic group native to Estonia who speak the Estonian language. The Estonian language is spoken as the first language by the vast majority of Estonians; it is closely related to other Finnic languages, e.g. Finnish, Karelian and Livonian. Helsinki Theatre Academy
The Theatre Academy ( fi, Teatterikorkeakoulu, sv, Teaterhögskolan) is one of the three academies of the University of the Arts Helsinki and offers education in theatre and dance. It is Finland's largest education provider in its field and, with the exception of acting, the only one in the country. In September 2014, there were 349 students at TeaK: 315 in the bachelor and master programmes, and the remaining 34 were studying for a licentiate or doctoral degree. Vanalinnastuudio
Vanalinnastuudio (literally 'Old Town Studio') was a theatre in Tallinn, Estonia. The theatre was established in 1980. At the beginning, it operated at Estonian State Philharmony (nowadays Eesti Kontsert). The founder and artistical leader was Eino Baskin. In 1980, the theatre has 9 actors. E.g., in 2003, the theatre has 14 actors. In 1989, the theatre was disjointed from Estonian State Philharmony and become independent theatre. The theatre was closed in 2004. Madis Milling
Madis Milling (24 November 1970 – 3 February 2022) was an Estonian actor, comedian, television and radio presenter, volunteer rescue worker, and politician. He was a member of the Estonian Defence League since 1990, in 2011 he was ranked as a lieutenant. Life and career In 1993, Milling graduated from Tallinn University as a theatre director. Milling was well known known for his role of Valdur Põld in the Eesti Televisioon (ETV) and later TV3 comedy series ''Vanad ja kobedad'' from 2000 until 2007, and the 2003 film ''Vanad ja kobedad saavad jalad alla'' based on the series. The Little Comrade (2018 Film)
''The Little Comrade'' ( et, Seltsimees laps) is a 2018 Estonian film directed by Moonika Siimets and based on the novels ''Seltsimees laps ja suured inimesed'' ('The Little Comrade') and ''Samet ja saepuru ehk Seltsimees laps ja kirjatähed'' ('Velvet and Sawdust') by Leelo Tungal. The film depicts the era of Stalinist tyranny in Estonia. The film's protagonist is six-year old girl Leelo whose mother (school director) is sent to a Siberian prison camp.
