Supraphon
Supraphon Music Publishing is a Czech record label, oriented mainly towards publishing classical music and popular music, with an emphasis on Czech and Slovak composers. History The Supraphon name was first registered as a trademark in 1932. The name was used for the label of domestic albums produced for export by Ultraphon company. Post World War II Ultraphon was nationalized and changed its name to Gramofonové závody. In 1961 the name was changed to Gramofonové závody – Supraphon and later just to Supraphon in 1969. In Czechoslovakia, it was one of the three major state-owned labels, the other two being Panton and Opus. Zlatý Slavík
Zlatý slavík ( en, Golden Nightingale) was a music poll and an award of the same name established by magazine ''Mladý svět'' along with '' Smena na nedeľu'' in 1962, and broadcast on television. While in the first year of the poll 797 votes were returned, the highest vote tally registered in its 29-year history was over 115,000. It later emerged that from the 1970s onwards the entries were frequently falsified by the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ). The poll lasted until 1991 and was later replaced by Český slavík. Winners Over the years, the categories were occasionally changed. Leaders With twenty-two Zlatý slavík awards, Karel Gott is the most successful artist in the history of the poll, followed by Hana Zagorová who scored nine wins, and Naďa Urbánková with five awards. Iveta Bartošová
Iveta Bartošová (8 April 1966 – 29 April 2014) was a Czech singer, actress and celebrity, three-time best female vocalist in the music poll Zlatý slavík (1986, 1990 and 1991). She was also known for her turbulent lifestyle attracting the attention of the Czech tabloid media. Biography and career Bartošová was born in Čeladná and spent her childhood and adolescence in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. She has an older brother Lumír and twin sister Ivana. She started her musical career in 1982, with the band ''Dianthus''. In 1983, she succeeded in a music competition held in Jihlava and met the singer Petr Sepéši, with whom she later collaborated and started a relationship. Sepéši died in a car accident in 1985.
