Peter Stecher
Peter Otto Stecher (born 1965 in Vienna, Austria) is an expert in archery. He is a published author on the subject, and he has toured the globe to perform in various archery events as "Bowman", including a slapstick routine with a character he calls "Barry Bowdini". Stecher lives in Lockenhaus, where in 1991 he founded the first archery club in the Burgenland state. Stecher is known as a classic bow purist, shooting every bow type, but prefers the simple straight American semi-longbow similar to the ones favored by Howard Hill. Stecher's book, ''Legends in Archery - Adventurers with Bow and Arrow'' (Schiffer Publishing, 2010, ), began as a 2008 series of portraits of famous archers, for a German-language trade magazine. The ''Kronen Zeitung'' (), commonly known as the ''Krone'', is Austria's largest newspaper. It is known for being Eurosceptic. History The first issue of the ''Kronen Zeitung'' appeared on 2 January 1900. Gustav Davis, a former army officer, was the founder. The name referred to the monthly purchase price of one crown (it did not refer to the monarchic crown), recently made possible after the abolition of bureaucratic duties on newspapers (''Zeitungsstempelgebühr'') on 31 December 1899. The newspaper struggled in its first three years until the 10 June 1903 regicide of King Aleksandar Obrenović in the neighbouring Kingdom of Serbia, which the paper reported on extensively and made it achieve enormous popularity. Zhang Juanjuan (; born January 2, 1981 in Qingdao, Shandong, People's Republic of China) is an archer from the People's Republic of China. Early and personal life Zhang was born on 2 January 1982 in the Chinese city of Qingdao in Shandong Province. Before taking up archery Zhang trained in shot put, javelin and discus. She married in 2009 and had a child in 2010. As of 2015 she worked as the deputy director of an archery centre in her native Qingdao. Robin Hood
Robin Hood is a legendary heroic outlaw originally depicted in English folklore and subsequently featured in literature and film. According to legend, he was a highly skilled archer and swordsman. In some versions of the legend, he is depicted as being of noble birth, and in modern retellings he is sometimes depicted as having fought in the Crusades before returning to England to find his lands taken by the Sheriff. In the oldest known versions he is instead a member of the yeoman class. Traditionally depicted dressed in Lincoln green, he is said to have robbed from the rich and given to the poor.
