Per Preben Prebensen
Per Preben Prebensen (6 August 1895 – 21 October 1961) was a Norwegian diplomat. He was born into the influential Prebensen family in 1895. His father was the Mayor of Risør is a municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located on the Skagerrak coast in the traditional region of Sørlandet. The administrative centre of Risør municipality is the town of Risør. Risør (town)
Risør is a Seaside resort, a List of towns and cities in Norway, town and the administrative centre of Risør municipality in Agder county, Norway. The town is located along the Skaggerak coast on a peninsula between the entrances to the Søndeledfjorden (to the north) and the Sandnesfjorden (to the south). The town is one of the oldest towns in Southern Norway. It was declared a ladested in 1630 and upgraded to a kjøpstad in 1723. Jacob Christian Wetlesen Prebensen
Jacob (; ; ar, يَعْقُوب, Yaʿqūb; gr, Ἰακώβ, Iakṓb), later given the name Israel, is regarded as a patriarch of the Israelites and is an important figure in Abrahamic religions, such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Jacob first appears in the Book of Genesis, where he is described as the son of Isaac and Rebecca, and the grandson of Abraham, Sarah, and Bethuel. According to the biblical account, he was the second-born of Isaac's children, the elder being Jacob's fraternal twin brother, Esau. Nikolai Prebensen
Nikolai Christian Grove Prebensen (13 April 1850 – 24 May 1938) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. He was born in the town of Risør as a son of Jacob Wetlesen Prebensen (1808–1892) and Wencke Kristiane Grove. He finished his secondary education in 1868 and took the cand.jur. degree in 1873. He was hired as a clerk in the Ministry of Church Affairs in 1876, and from 1878 to 1881 he was a deputy judge in Romsdal District Court. He was also acting district stipendiary magistrate for some time in the absence of district stipendiary magistrate Roll. From 1881 to 1887 he was a clerk in the Ministry of Justice and the Police, before being hired as chief of police in Vardø in 1887. From 1889 to 1894 he served as the County Governor of Finnmark. Erik Colban
Erik Andreas Colban (18 October 1876 – 28 March 1956) was a Norwegian diplomat. Colban had many important roles in Norwegian diplomacy; especially being named to the post of Norwegian Ambassador in London before and during the Second World War. Colban also worked with the League of Nations and the United Nations where Norwegian Trygve Lie served as the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Erik Braadland
Erik Braadland (21 November 1910 – 14 July 1988) was a Norwegian diplomat and politician for the Centre Party. He was born in Idd as a son of former Parliament member Birger Braadland (1879–1966) and Ragna Abigael Vogt Stang (1881–1972). He finished Oslo Commerce School in 1928 and then attended the Norwegian Military Academy for one year. He graduated with the cand.oecon. degree in 1932 and was hired in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1934. He was first stationed in Hamburg, then from 1936 in Marseille. Rolf Andersen (25 July 1897 – 25 July 1980) was a Norwegian diplomat. He was a deputy under-secretary of state in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and participated in the Norwegian delegation to the Paris Peace Conference, 1946. Thore Boye
Thore Albert Boye (27 October 1912 – 1 October 1999) was a Norwegian diplomat. He was born in Kristiania as a son of Supreme Court Justice Thorvald Boye (1871–1943) and Mia Esmarch (1880–1966). In 1945 he married Nøste Siem (1918–1999), a daughter of Ole Siem and sister of Martin Siem. He took the cand.jur. degree in 1936, and was an attorney and deputy judge in Tromsø before being hired in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1938. After the Second World War reached Norway on 9 April 1940, and the government fled the capital, Boye set out on skis to catch up with them. After doing so he acted as a courier to Stockholm, returned to Molde where he followed the flight of the Norwegian National Treasury to Tromsø.
