Rolf Andersen (diplomat)
Rolf Andersen (25 July 1897 – 25 July 1980) was a Norwegian diplomat. He was a deputy under-secretary of state in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and participated in the Norwegian delegation to the Paris Peace Conference, 1946. He was later a Norwegian envoy to Switzerland, the Norwegian ambassador to Italy to 1958, to Denmark from 1958 to 1963, and in France from 1963 to 1967. He was the father of Rolf Trolle Andersen Rolf Trolle Andersen (born 14 March 1945) is a Norwegian diplomat. He was born in Oslo as a son of diplomat Rolf Andersen and maternal grandson of Danish polar explorer Alf Trolle. The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( Norwegian (Bokmål): ''Det kongelige utenriksdepartement''; Norwegian (Nynorsk): ''Det kongelege utanriksdepartement'') is the foreign ministry of the Kingdom of Norway. Rolf Trolle Andersen (born 14 March 1945) is a Norwegian diplomat. He was born in Oslo as a son of diplomat Rolf Andersen and maternal grandson of Danish polar explorer Alf Trolle. He is cand.jur. from the University of Oslo and has the CEP from the Institut de Sciences Politiques. He started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1971. From 1973 to 1976 Trolle Andersen was posted as Secretary of Embassy in Canada. In 1979 he was named First Secretary of Embassy in Greece. In the 1980s he was Special Advisor for Polar Affairs and travelled to and reached the South Pole in 1985. He served as Norwegian Ambassador to Romania from 1990 to 1994 and then succeeded Terje Rød-Larsen as Special Middle East Coordinator in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1994. Hersleb Vogt (20 May 1912 – 9 November 1999) was a Norwegian diplomat. Biography He was born in Kristiania (now Oslo). Norway. He studied law at the University of Oslo and graduated with a cand.jur. degree in law. He was hired in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1936.
