Paweł Tarnowski (sailor)
Paweł Aleksander Maria Tarnowski (born April 3, 1994, in Gdynia) is a Polish sailor, son of Jacek Tarnowski, (businessman and the politician, in 2005–2006 Head of the Chancellery of the Polish Prime Minister) and Monika Wanicka. Tarnowski already competed at the top-level when he was a teenager, becoming a multiple medal winner in Junior World Championships. In 2011 and 2012, he won a gold medal at the RS:X Junior World Championships, and he won medals in European Champion. In first he started in classes Techno 293 class and then the RS:X class, (including in a category age under 17 (U-17) and under 21 years of age (U-21). He competed in the 2024 Olympics in the iQfoil class and came 10th. He is sometimes seen as a model in commercials, including polish company Atlas or on the cover of album ''Superheroes : Chapter One - Courage'' of the band Synthphonia. Formula Windsurfing
Formula Windsurfing is the high-performance, competitive course-racing format of the windsurfing world. This type of sailing boards enjoy a massive wind range that enables racing in winds from 7 to 35 knots, and are capable of reaching speeds of over 30 knots. History and beginnings This class of windsurfing was born in the late 90s as an upgrade from funboard-type course-racing boards looking to lower wind limits, broaden wind strengths and reduce racing costs with a limited quiver. Historically, board designers used to increase the length and volume of the boards in order to allow for sailing in lighter winds, but during the late 90s, some brands like AHD, Berky, Drops, ML, Pro-Tech, Roberts and Starboard started to work on alternative solutions. Allianz Regatta
Allianz Regatta, formerly known as the SPA Regatta, the Holland Regatta, the Delta Lloyd Regatta, and the Medemblik Regatta, is an annual sailing regatta in Almere, the Netherlands, first held in 1985 in Medemblik. Mondello
Mondello is a small borough of the city of Palermo in the autonomous region of Sicily in Southern Italy. Its beach lies between two cliffs called Mount Gallo and Mount Pellegrino. The town was originally a small fishing village situated on marshland, but at the end of the 19th century it grew into a tourist destination. A number of Liberty style villas on the seafront promenade have made it one of the gems of Art Nouveau in Europe.
