Patrick Burke (16 April 1879 – 7 February 1945) was an Irish politician. He was first elected to Dáil Éireann at the 1932 general election as a Cumann na nGaedheal Teachta Dála (TD) for the Clare constituency. He was re-elected as a Fine Gael TD at the 1937 general election, and served as a TD until his death in 1945. Patrick Joseph Burke (26 January 1904 – 9 September 1985) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician who served as a Teachta Dála (TD) from 1944 to 1973. A hospital official before entering politics, he was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Fianna Fáil TD for the Dublin County constituency at the 1944 general election. Patrick Burke (born March 17, 1962) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour in the 1990s. His best result on the tour was when he tied for third place in the 1996 B.C. Open. He won twice on the PGA Tour of Australasia in 1994. Amateur career Burke was at Citrus College before transferring to California State University, Dominguez Hills. He won the Gary Sanders Memorial Tournament two years in succession. Professional career Burke turned professional in 1986. In September 1987, he was the medalist in the Australian PGA Tour qualifying school and played a number of tournaments in Australia in the 1987-88 season. In December 1989, he finished tied for 10th place in the PGA Tour qualifying school to gain a place on the tour for 1990. He had a poor season, missing the cut in 20 of 23 events. Paddy Burke (born 15 January 1955) is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has served as a Senator for the Agricultural Panel since 1993. He previously served as Cathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann from 2011 to 2016 and Leas-Chathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann from 2002 to 2011. Burke was a member of Mayo County Council from 1979 until the abolition of the dual mandate in 2003. He was first elected to the Oireachtas in the 1993 election to the 20th Seanad as a Senator for the Agricultural Panel, which also returned him to the 21st Seanad in 1997 and to the 22nd Seanad in 2002. Edward Michael 'Paddy' Burke (19 August 1898 – 20 June 1953) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family and early life The seventh of ten children born to Michael Joseph Burke (1861–1931) and Jane Burke, nee Robinson (1860–1923), Edward Michael Burke was born at Fitzroy on 19 August 1898. Patrick Burke (born 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays for Antrim Senior Championship club Ruairí Óg and at inter-county level as vice-captain of the Antrim senior hurling team.
