Paddy Burke (hurler)
Patrick Burke (born 1995) is an Irish hurler who plays for Antrim Senior Championship club Ruairí Óg and at inter-county level as vice-captain of the Antrim senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre-back. Career A member of the Ruairí Óg club, Burke joined the club's senior team in 2012. Since then he has won two Ulster Club Championship titles as well as three County Championship titles. Burke made his first appearance on the inter-county scene as a member of the Antrim minor team that won an Ulster Minor Championship title in 2013, before winning three successive Ulster Under-21 Championship titles. Burke made his debut with the Antrim senior hurling team in 2015. The 2013 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship (also known as the Electric Ireland GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the 83rd staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The 2016 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 53rd staging of the All-Ireland inter-county championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The 2020 National Hurling League was the 89th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Division 1 was restructured in 2020 into two groups of approximately equal strength. The league was originally scheduled to end on 29 March 2020. The public health measures introduced to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in Ireland resulted in most of the final stages being delayed to October and the Division 1 final stage being reduced from five games to one. The 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup was the third staging of the Joe McDonagh Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2018. The competition was initially scheduled to begin on 10 May 2020 and end on 29 June 2020. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games, the first-round games were delayed until 25 October 2020. 2017 Ulster Senior Hurling Championship
The 2017 Ulster Senior Hurling Championship was the 69th staging of the Ulster hurling championship since its establishment by the Ulster Council in 1901. The tournament was moved to April, instead of the usual June/July dates, in order to accommodate the various tiers of the All-Ireland championship. Antrim won a sixteenth consecutive title.
