Paruhatlek Sitchunthong
Paruhatlek Sitchunthong ( th, พฤหัสเล็ก ศิษย์ชุนทอง) is a former Thai Muay Thai fighter who competed from 1980s to 1990s. He is the only fighter to have beaten legend Samart Payakaroon in Muay Thai rules by knockout. Biography and career The sixth of nine children (seven sons, two daughters), Paruhatlek Sitchunthong came from a family of Muay Thai fighters in Pathum Thani, about north of Bangkok. All of his brothers were fighters. His older brother is also a famous Muay Thai fighter, Paruhat Loh-ngoen. He started his Muay Thai training at the age 9 in a space near his house with his father as a trainer. He had his first fight a few months later, he got only 15 baht for it.A year later Paruhatlek joined the Sichunthong gym, his family business. Toto Pongsawang or spelt Toto Por.Pongsawang ( th, โตโต้ ป.พงษ์สว่าง) is a former Thai professional boxer and Muay Thai fighter of the 1990s. Biography & career Toto had a reputation for being a Muay Thai in Isan region in name "Toto Kangwalprai" (โตโต้ กังวาลไพร). Later, his manager Songphol "Ja Tu" Pongsawang led him to a regular at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Bangkok under a promoter Songchai Rattanasuban. Orono Por Muang Ubon ( th, โอโรโน่ พ.เมืองอุบล; born January 14, 1973, in Ubon Ratchathani) is a Thai former Muay Thai fighter. Biography and career Orono started Muay Thai at 10 in the Kiatkamchai camp. At 15 he joined the Por Muang Ubon gym in his native Ubon Ratchathani Province to start his Bangkok career, training alongside other notable fighters such as Nungubon Sitlerchai and Nuengtrakarn Por Muang Ubon. His ring name was given to him by a trainer who thought he had a similar face as the boxing champion Rafael Orono who came to compete for a world title in Thailand in 1983 and 1985. Nungubon Sitlerchai ( th, หนึ่งอุบล ศิษย์เลิศชัย) is a Thai former Muay Thai fighter and boxer. He was a 4 weights Lumpinee Stadium champion during the golden era of Muay Thai. Chatchai Paiseetong ( th, ฉัตรชัย ไผ่สีทอง) was a Thai Muay Thai fighter. He was a two-times Lumpinee Stadium champion and Sports Authority of Thailand fighter of the year during the golden era of Muay Thai. Biography & career His nickname ''Samart 2'' is a reference to the Muay Thai legendary Samart Payakaroon who trained at the same gym. Paiseetong was compared to him for his elegance and technical proficiency in the ring. His peak happened during the year 1993 at the age of 19. That yeah he had 7 wins and 3 losses, for this performance he earned the Thailand Sport Authority FIghter of the Year award.
