Rick Parry (born 23 February 1955) is the current chairman of the EFL, the former chief executive of Liverpool, the original CEO of the Premier League and a board member at New York Cosmos. Career Rick Parry was educated at the Kings School Chester and the University of Liverpool. Upon obtaining his degree, in Maths as a trainee Chartered Accountant in 1976, qualifying three years later. Having spent a number of years in the leisure industry in financial controller positions, he rejoined his former firm (by then known as Arthur Young) in 1983 as a management consultant. Paul Ian Parry (born 19 August 1980) is a Welsh footballer who is currently the assistant manager at Chepstow Town Football club alongside Marc Ingles in the Ardal South East side Chepstow Town. He is a former Wales international. Personal life Parry was born in Chepstow. As a youngster he attended Chepstow Comprehensive School. Parry suffers from a severe fear of flying ( aviophobia) which, like other footballers such as Dennis Bergkamp, has caused problems during his career due to his inability to sometimes travel with the Wales team to far-away countries. Milman Parry (June 23, 1902 – December 3, 1935) was an American Classicist whose theories on the origin of Homer's works have revolutionized Homeric studies to such a fundamental degree that he has been described as the "Charles Darwin, Darwin of Homeric studies". In addition, he was a pioneer in the discipline of oral tradition. Early life and education Parry was born in 1902 in Oakland, California. He grew up in a house full of books, with a father who was self-taught and widely read. He and his siblings often recited poems from memory as a game.
