One Day Savior Recordings
One Day Savior Recordings was an American independent record label founded in 1997 by Christopher Tzompanakis. The record label was most prominent in the hardcore and indie rock communities, releasing metalcore, post-hardcore and emo by such bands as Boys Night Out, Dearly Departed, Embodyment, Hopesfall, The Juliana Theory, The Killing Tree, The Movielife, Onelinedrawing, Paulson, Skycamefalling, The Sleeping and Tabula Rasa. One Day Savior Recordings was originally headquartered in Williston Park, Long Island, New York, where it remained until it was put under hiatus in 2008. The company was eventually sold to Tommy Melissen in 2010, its operations relocating to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Under Melissen's ownership, the company lasted a brief two years and was officially put to rest in 2014 after two years of inactivity. The Movielife
The Movielife is a Long Island punk rock band composed of vocalist Vinnie Caruana, guitarist Brandon Reilly, and drummer Brett Romnes. The band originally formed in 1997 and disbanded in 2003, but announced their official reunion in December 2014. History Formation and first two albums (1997–2001) The Movielife formed in 1997 in Long Island, New York with vocalist Vinnie Caruana, guitarists Alex Amiruddin and Eddie Reyes, bassist Nick Ghanbarian and drummer Evan Baken. The band recorded a tape titled ''Red Demo'' with Mike Sapone. Reyes left the group to form Runner Up and subsequently Taking Back Sunday. Trustkill Records
Trustkill Records was an American independent record label that started as a hardcore punk fanzine in April 1993. It started releasing hardcore, metal and rock records and merchandise in 1994. In 2010, the president of Trustkill, Josh Grabelle, formed a new label called Bullet Tooth Records. Distribution On January 9, 2007, Trustkill signed a deal for exclusive distribution in North America with Fontana Distribution, which is under the Universal Music Group umbrella. Trustkill is also distributed by SPV (Europe), Shock (Australia), JVC/Howling Bull (Japan), David Gresham (South Africa), and Liberation (Brazil). In 2009, independent hardcore label Think Fast! Eulogy Recordings
Eulogy Recordings is an American independent record label established in early 1997 by hardcore guitarist John Wylie. The record company was founded in Cooper City, Florida but its headquarters moved around in various parts of Broward County, Florida. Since its buy-out in 2018, it has been based in Atlanta, Georgia. The label releases heavy metal and hardcore bands, some of which are straight edge. Among the label's better-known signings were Set Your Goals and New Found Glory. The first band signed to Eulogy Recordings in April 1997 was Bird of Ill Omen, which featured several members of Wylie's band Morning Again in its line-up. In 1999, Ian Rowan became a partner in Eulogy Recordings and later Hand of Hope Records. Eulogy Recordings also financed releases by its imprint label, Hand of Hope Records. Ferret Music
Ferret Music was an American independent record label turned Warner Music Group subsidiary, founded in 1996. The label is owned by NORA's vocalist, Carl Severson, and based in West Windsor, New Jersey. Ferret recently started an imprint called New Weathermen Records. Warner Music Group's Alternative Distribution Alliance acquired a stake in Ferret Music in August, 2006, and as a result is currently distributed by Fontana Distribution, Alternative Distribution Alliance and eOne Music. Tabula Rasa was a post-hardcore/math rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They were featured on Deep Elm’s ''Me Against the World: The Emo Diaries Chapter 7'' and released a self-titled EP on One Day Savior Recordings as well as a full length album ''The Role of Smith'' on A-F Records. History The band was formed in the fall of 2000 when bassist Chris Miskis brought drummer Jeff Kopanic together with guitarists Andrew Grossmann and Rob Spagiare. Kopanic had never met either guitarist before the band’s first practice at the Mr. Roboto Project. Within a few months, the band had finished recording seven songs at +/- Studio in Pittsburgh with Andy Wright. The Sleeping
The Sleeping was an American post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York, United States, formed in 2003. The band was founded by Cameron Keym, Sal Mignano, and Joe Zizzo from the remains of Skycamefalling. After auditioning twenty-two potential singers, they came across Doug Robinson, former singer/guitarist of the band Stillwelle.
