Ole Scheeren
Ole Scheeren (born 6 January 1971) is a German architect, urbanist and principal of Büro Ole Scheeren Group with offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Berlin and Bangkok and a visiting professor at the University of Hong Kong since January 2010. Biography Early life and career Ole Scheeren is the son of the German architect Dieter Scheeren, who was a professor of architecture and civil engineering at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden, Hesse. Already at the age of 14 he was working at his father's office designing furniture and finished his first architectural project at the age of 21. As a twenty-year-old he traveled with his rucksack through rural China and lived there with the locals spending three months before his studies began. Taipei Performing Arts Center
The Taipei Performing Arts Center (TPAC; ) is a performance center in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The construction of the center began on 28 February 2012. The center construction topped out on 27 August 2014. On 31 August 2016, the center facade was revealed. The structure was constructed with a cost of NT$5.4 billion. On 11 January 2022, it was announced that the center will have its trial opening in March–May 2022. The Interlace
The Interlace is a 1,040-unit apartment building complex located at the boundary between Bukit Merah and Queenstown, Singapore. Noteworthy for its break from the typical tower design in cities with high population densities, it resembles Jenga blocks irregularly stacked upon each other. Designed by The Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), it was awarded the '' World Building of the Year'' title at the 2015 World Architecture Festival. MahaNakhon
King Power Mahanakhon ( th, คิง เพาเวอร์ มหานคร), formerly known as MahaNakhon (มหานคร), is a mixed-use skyscraper in the Silom/Sathon central business district of Bangkok, Thailand. It was opened in December 2016. It features the unconventional appearance of a glass curtain walled square tower with a cuboid-surfaced spiral cut into the side of the building. Beijing Television Cultural Center
The Television Cultural Center (TVCC; ) is a 34-story skyscraper on East Third Ring Road, Guanghua Road in the Central Business District (CBD) of Beijing, China. It was due to open in mid-May 2009 containing a hotel, a theater, and several studios. It finally opened on 16 May 2012 due to a major fire. Planning The Office for Metropolitan Architecture won the contract from the Beijing International Tendering Co. to construct the CCTV Headquarters and the Television Cultural Center by its side on December 20, 2002. It accommodates visitors and guests, and will be freely accessible to the public. The CCTV Headquarters serves as the headquarters for China Central Television (CCTV) formerly located at the old China Central Television Building some to the west.
