Oceania Badminton Championships
The Oceania Badminton Championships is a tournament organized by the Badminton Oceania (BO) and is held once every two years to crown the best badminton players and teams in Oceania. Championships This championships established since 1997, and was held in North Harbour, New Zealand with individuals event only. The teams event started in 1999. Badminton Oceania
Badminton Oceania (BO) is the sports governing body, governing body of badminton in Oceania. It is one of the 5 continental bodies under the flag of the Badminton World Federation (BWF). As of 2017, the confederation has 15 member countries. Papua New Guinea is the newest member, which was granted membership in late 2016. On the occasion of launching the new logo by Badminton Oceania, the organisation decided to change the name from Oceania Badminton Confederation to Badminton Oceania. The 2023 Oceania Badminton Championships was a continental badminton championships in Oceania sanctioned by the Badminton Oceania, and Badminton World Federation. 2022 Oceania Badminton Championships
The 2022 Oceania Badminton Championships was the continental badminton championships in Oceania sanctioned by the Badminton Oceania, and Badminton World Federation. It had been announced that most of the events in the Oceania Badminton Championships for 2022 were cancelled, including the Men's and Women's Team Championships, due to New Zealand's COVID-19 related border restrictions. However, the individual tournaments were postponed with the possibility of taking place in week 17 of the BWF tournament calendar. This championship was organized by Badminton Victoria, and was the 16th edition of the Oceania Badminton Championships. It was held in Melbourne, Australia from 28 April to 1 May 2022. The 2020 Oceania Badminton Championships was the continental badminton championships in Oceania sanctioned by the Badminton Oceania, and Badminton World Federation. This championship was organized by Badminton Ballarat, and was the 15th edition of the Oceania Badminton Championships. It was held in Ballarat, Australia from 10 to 15 February 2020. The team event started in 13 February, and is the qualification stage for the 2020 Thomas & Uber Cup finals to be played in Denmark, while the individual event started in 10 February. Hamilton ( mi, Kirikiriroa) is an inland city in the North Island of New Zealand. Located on the banks of the Waikato River, it is the seat and most populous city of the Waikato region. With a territorial population of , it is the country's fourth most-populous city. 2016 Oceania Badminton Championships
The XI 2016 Oceania Badminton Championships were held as two events in different counties. From 16 to 21 February, the team event was held in Auckland, New Zealand. From 25 to 28 April, the individual event was held in Papeete, Tahiti. Venue *X-TRM North Harbour Badminton Centre in Auckland, New Zealand for the team event, and Punaauia University Hall, within the University of French Polynesia in Papeete, Tahiti for the individual event.
