Nouméa () is the capital and largest city of the French special collectivity of New Caledonia and is also the largest francophone city in Oceania. Sawan Serasinghe
Sawan Serasinghe (born 21 February 1994) is a former badminton player from Australia. He won seven Oceania Championships titles, five in the men's doubles and two in the mixed doubles. Serasinghe competed in the men's doubles event at the 2016 Summer Olympics alongside Matthew Chau. Career Serasinghe started playing badminton since the age of five, he was born in Galle, Sri Lanka, and moved to Australia when he was 11-years-old. He trains at the National Training Centre in Melbourne, and took out back-to-back Oceania Championships titles with Chau in 2015 and 2016. The 22-year-old also won the 2014 Sydney International Challenge mixed doubles with Setyana Mapasa, against some of the best players in the world. Joel Alexander Findlay (born 29 June 1989) is an Australian male badminton player. In 2014, he won the men's doubles title at the Australian National Badminton Championships teamed up with fellow Victorian Luke Chong. He and Chong also won bronze medal at the 2014 Oceania Badminton Championships. Danielle Tahuri (born 22 December 1988; as Danielle Barry) is a New Zealand badminton player who plays for the Te Atatu badminton club. Susannah Leydon-Davis (born 5 February 1992) is a New Zealand badminton player. In 2014, she competed at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. Career Originally from Hamilton, Leydon-Davis attended Hillcrest High School and was Sports Captain in 2009. In 2015 she graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Management Studies. She competed at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow July 2014. Susannah competes in the mixed doubles with her brother Oliver, and they have actively been New Zealand representatives. She and her brother, won the mixed doubles gold medal at the 2014 Oceania Badminton Championships. Gronya Somerville (born 10 May 1995) is an Australian badminton player specializing in doubles. She has won nine Oceania Championships titles, six in the women's doubles and three in the mixed doubles. Personal life Somerville, born to an Australian mother of Anglo-Celtic origin and a Chinese father, became famous when it was revealed that she is the descendant of a prominent Qing dynasty political reformer, Kang Youwei. She is studying exercise science at Victoria University. Setyana Daniella Florensia Mapasa (born 15 August 1995) is an Indonesian-born Australian badminton player. Mapasa won a silver medal at the 2013 BWF World Junior Championships mixed team when she represented Indonesia. She officially became an Australian citizen in 2014. She was selected to join the national team compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. She was four times women's doubles Oceania champions from 2017 to 2020 with her partner Gronya Somerville, also two times champion in the mixed doubles event in 2017 and 2018 alongside Sawan Serasinghe.
