Niederkassel ( Ripuarian: ''Neddekaaßel'') is a town in the Rhein-Sieg district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with a population of around 37,000 people. It is situated on the right bank of the Rhine, approx. north-east of Bonn and south-east of Cologne. Niederkassel is subdivided into seven quarters (from the south to the north): Mondorf, Rheidt, Niederkassel, Uckendorf, Stockem, Lülsdorf and Ranzel. People can walk next to the river Rhine in Lülsdorf, Niederkassel and Rheidt. Sascha Stegemann (born 6 December 1984) is a German football referee who is based in Niederkassel. He referees for 1. FC Niederkassel of the Middle Rhine Football Association. He is a FIFA referee, and is ranked as a UEFA first category referee. Refereeing career Stegemann, referee of the club 1. FC Niederkassel, has been officiating on the DFB level since 2011. In January 2012, he was included on the DFL list of referees for the 2. Bundesliga. In 2014, Stegemann was promoted to referee in the Bundesliga. The Rhein-Sieg-Kreis ( ksh, Rhein-Siech-Kreis) is a ''Kreis'' (district) in the south of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Ernst Dieter Dickmanns is a German pioneer of dynamic computer vision and of driverless cars. Dickmanns has been a professor at Bundeswehr University Munich (1975–2001), and visiting professor to Caltech and to MIT, teaching courses on "dynamic vision". Biography Dickmanns was born in 1936. He studied aerospace and aeronautics at RWTH Aachen (1956–1961), and control engineering at Princeton University (1964/65); from 1961 to 1975 he was associated with the German Aero-Space Research Establishment (now DLR) Oberpfaffenhofen, working in the fields of flight dynamics and trajectory optimization. Stephan Engels (born 6 September 1960) is a German former professional football player and manager, who played as a midfielder. In the West German top-flight he scored 39 goals in 236 matches. In 1982-83 Engels won the West German Cup with 1. FC Köln. After retiring he worked as coach for 1. FC Köln (1995–1996) and SCB Viktoria Köln (2004–2005).
