Nordic Golf Tour
The Swedish Golf Tour (SGT) for women, from 2021 synonymous with the Nordic Golf Tour (NGT) and from 2022 branded the Ahlsell Nordic Golf Tour, is a professional golf tour operated in cooperation by the golf federations in Denmark and Norway and Sweden. The NGT is on the third level of international golf tours, below the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LET Access Series (LETAS). For 2022 all six scheduled tournaments are included in the LETAS. The SGT for women was named the Swedish Golf Tour 1986–1990, the Lancome Tour 1991–1994, the Telia Infomedia Golf Tour 1995–1997, the Telia Tour 1998–2008, the SAS Masters Tour 2008–2009, the Nordea Tour 2010–2016 and the Swedish Golf Tour 2017–2020. From 2021, the Swedish Golf Tour was included in and synonymous with the Nordic Golf Tour. For 2022, the tour was, for sponsor reasons, named the Ahlsell Nordic Golf Tour. Swedish Golf Federation
The Swedish Golf Federation ( sv, Svenska Golfförbundet, SGF) is the governing body for the sport of golf in Sweden, founded in 1904. The federation is responsible for administering the Rules of Golf, as laid down by The R&A, at the national level. It organizes tournaments, manages the national teams, and promotes the game. As of 2022, the federation organized 448 golf clubs and 505,577 individual members with 536 203 memberships, 74.4% male and 25.6% female. This makes it the third largest sports federation in Sweden in terms of active members, behind association football and athletics in first and second and place. SGF is a member of the European Golf Association (EGA). Thanks to a high national participation rate of almost 5%, SGF is EGA's third largest national member behind England and Germany (661,805 and 640,181 members respectively as of 2016). Liselotte Neumann
Liselotte Maria "Lotta" Neumann (born 20 May 1966) is a Swedish professional golfer. When she recorded her first LPGA Tour win, by claiming the 1988 U.S. Women's Open title, Neumann also became the first Swedish golfer, male or female, to win a major championship. Early years Neumann was born and grew up in Finspång, Sweden. Her father Rune was a former football player and coach of a local girls football team. After practicing different sports and supported by her father, her mother Ingegerd and her brother Mats, Neumann began playing golf at the local 9-hole course at Finspång Golf Club. She showed early promise and won the unofficial national youth championships, Colgate Cup, at three different levels, as a 12, 14, and 16-year-old. Line Toft Hansen
Line Toft Hansen (born 31 July 1999) is a Danish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. Early life and amateur career Hansen started playing golf in 2007, taught by her grandfather. She played at Gilleleje Golf Club, where her parents owned the restaurant, and later switched to Hillerød Golf Club. Her brother, Morten Toft Hansen, is also a professional golfer. He won the 2018 Swedish PGA Championship. In 2013, they both won the AON Junior Tour III tournament, in the girls' and boys' category respectively. Hansen won the Finnish International Championship (U16) in 2014. She was runner-up in the team event at the 2015 World Junior Girls Championship in Canada, and finished 10th individually. 2020 Swedish Golf Tour (women)
The 2020 Swedish Golf Tour was the 35th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden. Schedule The season saw an attempt to rebrand the existing set of tournaments as a pan- Nordic tour, and launch the Nordic Golf Tour (NGT). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the events outside Sweden were cancelled and the remaining Swedish events were removed from the 2020 LET Access Series (LETAS) schedule. Lily May Humphreys (born 14 March 2002) is an English professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She won the 2017 Girls Amateur Championship and the 2023 Joburg Ladies Open. Amateur career Humphreys had a successful amateur career. She won the Fairhaven Trophy in 2016 and the Girls Amateur Championship, English Women's Amateur Championship, and the Junior Orange Bowl International in 2017. Patricia Isabel Schmidt (born 1 September 1995) is a German professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. She won the 2023 Belgian Ladies Open. Amateur career Schmidt won the 2017 Hetzenhof Open in Baden-Württemberg. In 2018, she finished 3rd at the Luxembourg International Amateur Championship. The 2022 Ahlsell Nordic Golf Tour was the 37th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden and neighboring countries. Tournaments also featured on the 2022 LET Access Series (LETAS). Schedule The season consisted of 6 tournaments played between May and September, where one event was held in Denmark. Ranking 164 players from 28 countries appeared in the final Order of Merit.
