''Nonexistent'' is the sophomore album of the extreme metal band Living Sacrifice. The album was released through R.E.X. Records in 1992. The album was recorded quickly after the debut self-titled album in Nashville, Tennessee and produced by Doug Mann. The album is a notable change for the band, as the debut focused more on a thrash metal sound, while the follow up has a heavy emphasis on death metal, drawing more from artists such as Gorguts or Obituary. History The album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee a short time after the release of their self-titled debut album in 1991. The band began their recording with Doug Mann and engineer Martin Woodlee. The band originally hoped to have Scott Burns (Death, Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse) produce the album, with interest on both sides as the self-titled was on his top albums of 1991. Living Sacrifice
Living Sacrifice is an American Christian metal band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1989. The band has released eight studio albums, out of which the first three were recorded under R.E.X. Records with their original vocalist Darren Johnson as a more thrash metal and death metal oriented band. The band evolved into a groove metal and metalcore style beginning with ''Reborn'' (1997) under Solid State Records with the original guitarist Bruce Fitzhugh on vocals. In 2003, the group disbanded due to other projects and later their label, Solid State, released their best-of album, ''In Memoriam'' (2005). In 2008, Living Sacrifice reformed and released a two-song digital only single called ''Death Machine''. They then began working on ''The Infinite Order'' which was released on January 26, 2010. Celldweller
Celldweller is an American electronic rock project by multi-musician Klayton. Celldweller songs have been featured in many films, movie trailers, television shows and video games. Career Precursors: Circle of Dust and Angeldust (1992–1999) The name Celldweller was derived from a nickname his mother gave him when he was a teenager, dubbed "Cellar Dweller", as he made all of his music in his parents' basement. Klayton had gained a devoted cult following in the mid 90s because of his industrial metal band Circle of Dust. Circle of Dust is an industrial music project from New York City created by Klayton, who later became known as Celldweller. The project was active from 1988 to 1998 and then re-started in 2015 after Klayton gained back ownership of his old albums. Lance Garvin
Lance Garvin is an American musician and, along with Bruce Fitzhugh, DJ Johnson and Jason Truby, a founding member of the Christian metal band Living Sacrifice. Garvin is mostly known for using a Ride Cymbal in modern metal without making it sound thinner. Garvin is also the drummer of Christian metal band Soul Embraced and has played with the bands Throwdown and Zao as well. He formed the band Kill System, along with fellow Soul Embraced members, Chad Moore and Rocky Gray, and former Evanescence guitarist John LeCompt. When Living Sacrifice prepared to release their documentary, the release was delayed by COVID-19, with Garvin contracting the sickness. Following his recovery, the plan to work on new material was also delayed by Garvin breaking his leg. Bruce Fitzhugh
Bruce Fitzhugh is the second and best known lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and founding member of Arkansas's Christian metal band Living Sacrifice. The lead vocalist role was left to Bruce shortly after the departure of former lead Darren Johnson and prior to the recording of Living Sacrifice's 1997 album, ''Reborn''. Fitzhugh is featured in Zao's ''The Lesser Lights of Heaven'' DVD. Fitzhugh's nephew is Drew Garrison, Vocalist for Descended From Wolves and Becoming Saints. He has been involved in many other music endeavors such as producing The Showdown's debut album, ''A Chorus Of Obliteration''. Jason Truby (born June 1, 1973) is an American musician. He began his career in 1989 with Living Sacrifice as lead guitarist. He was also a member of P.O.D., but has also performed with Phil Keaggy, David Beegle, Ashley Cleveland and her husband Kenny Greenberg, and was a guest performer with Phil Keaggy's band Glass Harp (band), Glass Harp at the First Annual Denver Guitar Festival. Klayton
Klayton Albert (born Scott David Albert; June 17, 1969) is an American multi-instrumentalist from New York City who currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Klayton has led several bands and has performed under a variety of stage names since the early 1990s. His current projects are Celldweller, Scandroid and FreqGen. Personal life Albert grew up in an Italian-American conservative Christian household in New York, where he attended church with his younger brother Dan and friends Buka and Klank (who would collaborate with him on a number of future music projects). ''Ghost Thief'' is the eighth studio album by the Christian metal band Living Sacrifice. It is their second album produced by Jeremiah Scott. Writing and recording The band toured in support of their prior album, ''The Infinite Order'', for three years before starting up work on recording a followup. The band chose to once again work with music producer Jeremiah Scott, with whom the band had collaborated on their previous album. The band started with writing the music, and then wrote lyrics once the music was already established. Themes and composition The album's title, ''Ghost Thief'', is meant as "the personification of death". Conceptually, the album's lyrics explore the fleeting nature of life, the idea of an afterlife, and how death can be viewed as either "friend or foe" by different people in different circumstances. The Infinite Order
''The Infinite Order'' is the seventh studio album from Christian metal band Living Sacrifice released January 26, 2010. The album, produced by Jeremiah Scott and mixed and mastering done by Andy Sneap marks a return for the band since their prior album in 2002. Because the manufacturer used the wrong master, the first pressing has an additional song "Of My Flesh, Of My Heart" on track 12 that was intended to be a bonus track on a possible European release. Future pressings will have the intended 11 tracks. They have since made a deluxe edition of the album available only through iTunes. The deluxe edition features new artwork, one bonus studio track, two live bonus tracks, and the ''In Finite'' Live DVD.
