Klayton Albert (born Scott David Albert; June 17, 1969) is an American multi-instrumentalist from New York City who currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Klayton has led several bands and has performed under a variety of stage names since the early 1990s. His current projects are Celldweller, Scandroid and FreqGen. Personal life Albert grew up in an Italian-American conservative Christian household in New York, where he attended church with his younger brother Dan and friends Buka and Klank (who would collaborate with him on a number of future music projects). Albert never had formal training on an instrument, instead picking up whatever interested him and learning it himself. He graduated from Farmingdale High School. Celldweller
Celldweller is an American electronic rock project by multi-musician Klayton. Celldweller songs have been featured in many films, movie trailers, television shows and video games. Career Precursors: Circle of Dust and Angeldust (1992–1999) The name Celldweller was derived from a nickname his mother gave him when he was a teenager, dubbed "Cellar Dweller", as he made all of his music in his parents' basement. Klayton had gained a devoted cult following in the mid 90s because of his industrial metal band Circle of Dust. After the dissolution of Circle of Dust, Klayton concurrently released both a posthumous collection of reworked Circle of Dust leftovers titled '' Disengage'' and an album for a new project, Angeldust, created in conjunction with illusionist Criss Angel. Circle Of Dust
Circle of Dust is an industrial music project from New York City created by Klayton, who later became known as Celldweller. The project was active from 1988 to 1998 and then re-started in 2015 after Klayton gained back ownership of his old albums. The project has released five studio albums: ''Circle of Dust'' (1992), ''Brainchild'' (1994), a re-recording of ''Circle of Dust'' (1995), '' Disengage'' (1998), and '' Machines of Our Disgrace'' (2016). Scandroid
Scandroid is an American electronic music project created by Klayton, which previously included Varien in 2013. The project released its debut single, "Salvation Code", on August 6, 2013. Scandroid can be described as encompassing the retro synth melodies of the 1980s while still adapting to modern production, thus creating a new retro sound. Biography Pre-album release (2013–2015) An image was teased of a skull-like logo via the Celldweller Facebook page on July 16, 2013, hinting at an incoming project. On July 24, 2013, an official announcement was posted to Celldweller, simply titled "What is the Salvation Code?" In continuation with the teaser, their website SalvationCode.com launched, requiring a password for entry; this password could be found using hints from previous videos as well as from a riddle sent out to users who submitted a "forgotten password" form. LVL (stylized as lvl) is both the solo music project and personal moniker for New York City musician Dan . Formerly called Level, he changed his stage name to avoid confusion with others with the same name. His musical output ranges from fast-paced industrial metal to mellow electronica. is the younger brother of musician Klayton. History Early years Dan first appeared in the late 1980s as a member of Immortal, a New York thrash metal band fronted by Klayton. FiXT
FiXT (pronounced "fixed") is an American independent media company with several divisions including a record label, an online music store, and a film/TV/video game music licensing arm. FiXT was founded and is owned by Klayton, the sole member of the electronic rock project Celldweller. History FiXT started in 2006 as an outgrowth of Esion Media, the name under which Klayton published his earliest Celldweller material. After years of trouble with distributors over how to properly handle Celldweller's unique brand of music, Klayton decided to take the same approach to record labels as he did with his music and handle the matter himself. Argyle Park
Argyle Park was an underground industrial rock supergroup founded in New York City in 1994 and active until 1996. Members of the group reformed under the name AP2 in 1998, and were active under that name until winter 2000. Signed to Christian music labels, the band suffered repeated controversies within the Christian music scene for not being positive and evangelistic enough in its lyrics and outlook as well as for including contributions from non-Christian musicians. The project was named after an actual park in Babylon, Long Island, where the members of Argyle Park grew up together. Klank, also stylized as kLaNk or KLANK, is an American industrial metal and groove metal band that originated out of Long Island, New York in December 1993. The project began after Daren Diolosa, the brainchild of Klank, departed from the fellow industrial band Circle of Dust. Diolosa carried the project as a solo project until around 1997, when he began performing live. Following the live performances, Pat Servideo joined as a full-time member, with Diolosa and Servideo joining as a team. The band would go through many members, eventually settling on the lineup of Diolosa, Servideo, and former Every Day Life drummer Eric Wilkins. Blue Stahli is an American electronic rock project by Bret Autrey. Blue Stahli has appeared in a number of movie trailers, shows and games. History Musical beginnings and VOXiS (1997–2006) Autrey started music at a young age, learning through the use of an old beat up piano he had rescued from a dump. He worked through 3 years of piano lessons, by mimicking his neighbor and playing the melodies by ear. During this same time, he had become interested in sampling and programming music using DOS's Impulse Tracker. Later he received lessons from a friend for guitar, and would play along to music such as Queen's soundtrack to ''Flash Gordon''. He has played in a band as the guitarist, fronted by drag queens; as well as joining a burlesque troupe as a DJ to their shows. Depeche Mode are an English electronic music band formed in Basildon, Essex, in 1980. The band currently consists of Dave Gahan (lead vocals and co-songwriting) and Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, co-lead vocals and main songwriting). "Jack of all trades, master of none" is a figure of speech used in reference to a person who has dabbled in many skills, rather than gaining expertise by focusing on only one. The original version "a jack of all trades" is often used as a compliment for a person who is good at fixing, and has a good level of broad knowledge.
