Nike Fort Smith Classic
The Fort Smith Classic was a golf tournament on the Nationwide Tour. It is held each year at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas. It was the only annual PGA Tour event in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The 2010 purse was a record $525,000, with $94,500 going to the winner. The tournament was founded in 1998. Mark Hensby won the inaugural tournament at 20-under par, which is still the record low score. Fort Smith is the third-largest city in Arkansas and one of the two county seats of Sebastian County. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 89,142. Colt Knost
Colt Knost (born June 26, 1985) is a retired American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. Beginning in January 2022, he became a regular analyst and on-course commentator for PGA Tour events televised by CBS Sports. Amateur career Knost was born in Garrettsville, Ohio and grew up in Pilot Point, Texas. He was the Class 3A State Champion his senior year of 2003. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2007. While at SMU, he earned all-conference and all-region honors. He was also named the 2004 Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year. Knost won three United States Golf Association events in 2007, joining Bobby Jones (1930) and Jay Sigel (1983) as the only players to do so. Keoke Cotner (born July 11, 1971) is an American professional golfer who played on the Nationwide Tour. Cotner joined the Nationwide Tour in 2000. Franklin Langham
Franklin Langham (born May 8, 1968) is an American professional golfer. Langham was born in Thomson, Georgia. He played golf at the University of Georgia from 1989 to 1991 and was named an All-American in 1991. He played on the 1991 Walker Cup team. Langham played on the PGA Tour in 1996, 1998-2002 and 2005 and on the Nationwide Tour in 1993-95, 1997, 2003–04 and 2006–08. He has three victories on the Nationwide Tour and has had finished runner-up on four occasions in PGA Tour events. He best finish on the PGA Tour money list was 26th in 2000. Michael John Putnam (born June 1, 1983) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Putnam was born in Tacoma, Washington. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 2006. He had two 2nd-place finishes on the Nationwide Tour in 2006 including losing in a playoff at the Rheem Classic. Garrett Willis
Garrett Michael Willis (born November 21, 1973) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Willis was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended East Tennessee State University where he was member of the golf team, a first-team All-American his senior year. He won the Canadian Amateur Championship in 1995. He graduated and turned professional in 1996. Willis began his career in professional golf playing on the Hooters Tour and in selected international events. He then moved up to the BUY.COM Tour (the precursor of the Nationwide Tour). Justin Bolli (born March 18, 1976) is an American professional golfer. who has played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Bolli was born in Portland, Oregon. Bolli started playing on the Nationwide Tour (now Web.com Tour) full-time in 2004 and moved up to the PGA Tour in 2005. In his rookie season on the PGA Tour, he only made 9 of 24 cuts with his best finish being tied for 17th at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic. He moved back to the Nationwide Tour in 2006.
