Nicholas Buckland
Nicholas "Nick" Buckland (born 9 June 1989) is a former England, English competitive ice dancer who represented Great Britain. With partner Penny Coomes, he is the 2014 European Figure Skating Championships, 2014 European bronze medalist and has won six other international medals. They are also five-time British Figure Skating Championships, British national champions (2012–2014, 2016, 2018), and they have also competed three-times at the Winter Olympics in 2010, 2014 and 2018. Personal life Nicholas Buckland was born on 9 June 1989 in Nottingham, England. He studied law at Nottingham Trent University. His grandfather, Bryan Grummitt, was a speed skater and his grandmother, Jean, an ice dancer. His younger brother, Joseph Buckland, Joseph, is also a competitive ice dancer. Ice Challenge
The Icechallenge (formerly known as the Leo-Scheu-Gedächtnislaufen or Leo Scheu Memorial) is an annual international figure skating competition organized by the Grazer Eislaufverein and sanctioned by the Austrian Figure Skating association and the International Skating Union. The event is usually held every autumn in Graz, Austria. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. In 2014 and 2015, the Ice Challenge's senior events were part of the ISU Challenger Series. In 2021, the Icechallenge returned to the ISU Challenger Series under the name Cup of Austria. In the human body, the cuboid bone is one of the seven tarsal bones of the foot. Structure The cuboid bone is the most lateral of the bones in the distal row of the tarsus. It is roughly cubical in shape, and presents a prominence in its inferior (or plantar) surface, the tuberosity of the cuboid. Nottingham Ice Stadium
The Nottingham Ice Stadium was an ice rink in Nottingham, England from 1939 to 2000. It had a seating capacity of 2800 for Ice hockey games. The building was first opened in 1939 but it was quickly called upon for other purposes. Throughout World War II, the Ice Stadium acted as a store for guns, bullets and other ammunition produced at the nearby Royal Ordnance Factory, ROF Nottingham. When the war ended, the building soon returned to being a recreational and ice sports building. A year after the end of the war, the Ice Stadium became the home of the Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team, who would use the facility until it closed, albeit with a twenty-year break. Joseph Buckland
Joseph Buckland (born 27 October 1992) is an English ice dancer. With former partner Olivia Smart, he is a three-time British national junior champion (2012–14) and competed at three World Junior Championships, reaching the top ten in 2014. Personal life Joseph Buckland was born in Nottingham, England. He is the younger brother of Nicholas Buckland, who also competes in ice dancing. Career Early years Buckland teamed up with his first partner, Georgia Robinson, at age 15. In 2008, he was diagnosed with two stress fractures in his spine, keeping him off the ice for six months. He skated with Danielle Bennett in the 2009–10 season. The two placed 15th at their sole ISU Junior Grand Prix event, in Turkey, and became the British national silver medalists on the junior level.
